  • Well, it sounds like this AnaSarah character is probably eleven and watched a civic production her mom directed, but your voice is phenomenal dear. Love the color to it and your vivacity when performing. Great job!!

  • don't respond to the jealous bitches! you were great! congrats.

  • Wow! This has to be one of my favorite renditions of this song! You kept power behind your voice the entire song, and you fell right into Lucy as a character in this. Brava!

(And Lucy is a dream role for me, too. Only hope to nail her as you did if I ever get the chance :D )

  • This is amazing!! you have such a powerful voice!! it's just incredible!!

  • This is definitely the best version of this song that I have seen on Youtube that is not of Linda Eder. She is INCREDIBLE, but this version is great. There may not be all that much dancing in ti, but The singing is very good. Strong voice.

  • I thought you were pretty good! Sounded like you were getting winded near the end, but you got enough of a second wind to hit that final note. Good job!

  • BEST performance of this song I've ever seen! Wonderful pit musicians, energetic actresses, beautiful voice, very enthusiastic! Bravo!

  • you have a FANTASTIC voice, better than linda eder i'd say ;)

  • Wow. Truly inspirational for all performers out there, especially those of us who are held back by illness.

AND WHAT A VOICE!!!!!!!!!!! Blew me away time and time again throughout that performance.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Im sorry but within the first 50 second u shuldve started bring on the men, lucy is supposed to be a soprano because thts how the playwright wanted it & the ladies shuldve been dancing with you when it was bring on the men parts... sorry if i hurt ure feelings but its how th eplaywright wrote it and this one is a big number so it shuldnt be changed... cant wait til i preform it

  • @TwilightTeamEdward25

Lucy is written as a mezzo with belt. I think this song fits this lady's voice perfectly. It's just the breath control that needs work.

  • What a strong voice!

  • This was WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in the show now and ours has a bit more choreography for the girls throughout the song, but I REALLY enjoyed this. You have a beautiful voice!!!!

  • You're amazing. Fierce and fun, just the way this song is supposed to be.

  • what a fantastic voice! the chorus is beaauutiiffuull!

  • What I wouldn't do to perform that role. You remind me why I love to act. Now I want to go act again haha

  • I honestly think you have an awesome voice, and could easily be on the cd recording of this. I was looking for a Coleen or Linda Eden version of this.... but this is an equally good substitute!! i love your rocky voice! and how much energy you put into this! :D

  • Wow, it takes guts to go and perform this role! Great job. What a voice! One of my favorite songs is this and "Dangerous Game".

  • By far my favorite stage version of this song on youtube that I've found! I'm going to be singing this song for a review/vaudeville show soon and you've inspired me a lot. Thanks beautiful!

  • love this!! your voice is powerful!

  • For real, you just gave me chills! - Ashley Kate

  • I think it is great!!!!!!!!!!!! My fiance and I have a callback for this on Monday and I was asked to learn this song. Great performance!

  • Loved it! You did great and you have an AMAZING voice! You really played your character well. You had the attitude and the sex appeal! Great performance! :)

  • I love your prostitute outfits, they're fabulous. I just didn't like the girl in green, she can't dance at all

  • I love it. This is my favorite musical, and I think you killed it. Nailed the role. :)

  • This is really good! I love the Linda Eder version, and you're almost, if not just as great!! :D

  • I like the Brazilian Version better! hehe but your voice is very good.

  • Wow that was amazing!! You have great stage presence and wow you voice! I loved it :)

  • Lucy is one of my absolute favorite roles, and this is one of my favorite songs!!! You did an amazing job!! Thank you for posting!!! I dream that one day I can play Lucy!

  • You did an amazing job with this song. I love the sensuality that you bring to - it's a sexual song and so many performers just SING the words but you really bring us into it. Jekyll and Hyde is one of my favorite musicals and while Lucy is my favorite character, I have Emma's soprano voice, so alas. LOL anyway, AMAZING job!

  • @MachinaCognitans You could play Emma, at least she's one of the principal characters

  • Really, truly well done. Phenomenal emotion from your voice, the song didn't drag, really well paced. It just seems like you focussed on every aspect and truly it shows, you should be so proud. :).

  • You did amazing! :) The girl dancer in the green is a little off in timing in all the steps, but other than that, it was fantastic. :)

  • @AnaSarahProductions .. thanks for your comment! you can't make everyone happy! sorry you think my performance is junk, but that is ok!!!! Not everyone likes what everyone does and i respect that! :) Where did your mom do this? What part did she play? Stil one of my favorite shows and roles!

  • @shandymonte. . .Don't listen to AnaSarahProductions! This is my favorite rendition on youtube! You have a fantastic voice! Even though the song is called, "Bring on the Men", this isn't supposed to focus on the men. It's about Lucy. Beautiful job.

  • @shandymonte I'm actually in this musical now! I'm in 9th grade and my highschool is putting it on! lol- I absolutley love this scene and this entire musical! One of my faves!!!!! Having a blast being an extra and having a solo in "Murder Murder" :) lol:) Beautiful voice!! Loved it!! :)

  • @AnaSarahProductions If you know the musical of Jekyll and Hyde well, you'll understand that it is not a happy clappy dancing musical. I think this woman makes an amazing Lucy! Are you watching the same one as me? I'm currently in rehearsals for Jekyll and Hyde playing Lucy Harris, and will be really pleased if I can get to that standard. There is enough dancing. I've seen crapy productions of Jekyll and Hyde where the girls are in suspenders and bras. If u want dancin, go c flashdance.

  • @AnaSarahProductions .. and that's coming from someone who spells 'good' as 'gud'. Riiiiiight.. Have you ever seen this play not done by the Women's Institute your Mummy goes to? Because this is how it's meant to be..

  • @AnaSarahProductions honestly, i think, she did a pretty good job....the scene is dirty and vulgar and that's what it's supposed to be....and i love her voice for that song....it sounds perfectly slutty....she sang amazingly well for that number...of course there are things you could've done better but i'm doing that scene myself right now an trust me, its totally not easy and takes a lot to get it looking good....

  • @AnaSarahProductions

I do not agree with this one bit. This performance was GREAT! WOW!!

  • an amazing voice!

  • You did a FANTASTIC job!

  • you GO girl! fantastic!

  • You are amazing! This is one of my favorite shows and Lucy is one of my dream roles! I watch this pretty much every day because it is so amazing! You have such a beautiful and powerful voice! I hope you're getting better, I watched your other videos and that's absolutely ridiculous what Harvard did and everything you had to go through. I hope you get to get back on that stage and perform again soon!

  • Hell yes! That is one damn good belter, especially after all that dancing! :D

  • I saw Miss P do this song at Parliament house some years ago, and fell in love with it. What a great number! RIP Miss P. You are dearly missed.

  • beautiful job! I hope whatever it is that ails you fades away and you can return to performing. You have wonderful talent :)

  • Amazing voice and performance!!! I absolutely love this song!!!

  • Ohmygumdrops your amazing! Lucy Harris has been my favorite character ever since i heard this sng when i was 5 (lol pretty young right?) but i just hope that one day i can sing it the way you do! You have so much heart/soul/feeling in this song i can really tell you enjoyed it and wanted it done right :]

    Amazing job :D

  • I'm about to do this song for my musical theater class. that was great!!! i've been singing 4ever and this song is HARD especially with everything else thats being done. but i think u did a great job even when u were out of breathe (which anyone would be after dancing) u made it seem like a character choice..even the extra breathing..it was like sexy haha so i dont think think it looked at all like "oh no this girl is out of breathe"..good job!! =)

  • Jekyll and Hyde is my second favorite musical (second to Wicked. lol!) and Lucy is one of my favorite characters of ALL time. You are AMAZING!! You did everything right! Your vocals are mind blowing and you just steal the stage and demand it as yours! I LOVE IT!! you're amazing!

  • I can NOT stop watching you. hahaa! Lucy is seriously one of my dream roles. I even have done this song TWICE in drag shows. hahaha!

  • breathtaking!

  • my dream is to one day to perform this song.......but th@ requires being able to sing which i lack. voice lessons here i come.

  • Fabulous performance! I feel kinda bad for the girl in the green who forgot her chorepgraphy :p

  • you seem very out of breath...

  • sure was! not a very easy song to sing while dancing... but thanks for your comment!

  • i do like your voice though. it fit the sing very well.

  • Ohmy! That was fabulous!!! We're doing this for our school musical.

  • Thank you! Good luck!

  • Very well done, really enjoyed it.

  • Thank you!

  • WOW! Amazing performance! Smashing voice! u did a terrific job of this song.

We all no singing n dancings no easy task n ok u did fall off the note a little bit a d end but u recovered v.well from it! Ive heard pro singer/actors do a hell of a lot worse than dat during a song so dnt let sum peoples comments put u off. Well done u shud b v.proud of urself. u take care of urself n i hope u get well soon. :) xXx

  • Thank you! Yes, very hard to sing a song, especially this one while trying to dance.. the original chorepgraphy for this.. OMG, I was so out of breath we had to change it, I don't think Lucy should really dance during this one... but one of my major weaknesses is breath control... we all have them... :)

  • Fan-fucking-tastic!!! Perfect attitude and voice for Lucy! i'd die to play her, i swear.

  • thank you so much!

  • Powerful voice, good accents. I don't like how you occasionally switched to a screaming sound on higher notes like on the first bring, but that's because I've heard it done diffrently. Linda Eder, being a professional, is much better. But you're the best I've heard besides her version. Keep up the good work. Watch your breathing though, make sure you've got enough support. Fabulous costume! This is also one of my dream roles. :)

  • Thank you!, I don't think I could even even try to sound like Linda Eder, although it would be nice.. we are all different! Yes, breath control is my weakness... :), I actually wasn't screaming.. I don't know exactly what you mean? Belting, yes.. I do agree, this wasn't my strongest performance of this song.. But thank you so much for your comment!!! :)

  • Awesome. WELL done.

I hope you're able to do this sort of thing again sooner than later. Talent like this being suppressed - no matter the means - is always a shame.

    MM

  • Thank you SO So much!!!

  • I'm usually not very fond of most performances of theatrical songs that I enjoy, but this is really a great exception. I easily enjoyed this performance as much as Linda Eder or Coleen Sexton's performances of this song. You play the character very well and also have a very soulful voice.

  • Didnt coleen sexton do good n evil instead? I havent heard her version of this song! do you know where i could find it ... if she did sing it?

Shandymonte .. you did FAB!!!! ^^

  • Yes, Colleen did Good n Evil.... I would have liked to do that song also, but this one is also very fun... breath control like crazy... You can find it on the Jekyll & Hyde CD with David Hasselhoff... :) Thank you for your comment!!!

  • @LaceyLector You could also find this song on the Complete Works with Eder and Warlow.

  • :) thank you very much!! :)

  • Wow! That was just so lively, creative and in character, and all of the extras were just as fantastic as Lucy. you could really get caught up in the energy. Fresh, sexy and just plain awesome.

    Thanks for posting it!

  • That was AMAZING! WOW!

This is the best "bring on the men" performance I saw on youtube so far.

Your voice is unbelievable, AND you sing amazingly! (You know these are different things, and it's not very easy to find them both in one person.)

And what a stage presence! KUDOS!

  • i love this song, its one of my favourites and before watching it i wanted it to be bad so i cud say i sang it better, but you are absolutely amazing!!

  • You're so lucky you got to play Lucy. Hopefully I'll get to sing this song one day...

You're also very pretty and talented! Hope you're feeling better. :K

  • Gorgeous - what a voice and attitude. loved it

  • work it sister...

  • I think you sang that last "Bring on the men" perfect. I wish I could sing that way

  • Fantastic job! This was great!

  • Very well done. I know that this song is a complete pain in the arse to sing right.

  • okie dokie... Bring on the men is a tough song... sorry I made you cringe, your so very sweet!!

  • The last part where you sing "Bring on the men" made me cringe!

Your voice went to high, you held the note so well and the crescendo was perfect!

  • Wow! I love this song and your voice made it incredible amazing!!!

    I love it!!!

  • This is incredible <33333333

I would totally put it on my iPod if I knew how!

  • ohh Thank you so much, you are really too kind!!! :)

  • "So let's brrring on the men!" was SOOOO Linda! Love the growl thing- I've yet to get that down.

Fantasticcc! (And sorry I'm flooding your videos like, at once.)

  • Well I am flattered, thank you so much!!! :)

  • Bos- Thank you for your comment... Nope, not over acting, just having a blast doing what I love!

  • Oh man. Amazing voice. I feel like you are over acting it a bit. But Your voice makes up for that!

    Its REDONK!!!

  • I applaud the amazingness of this all! =) Great job!

  • This is great! I hope you recover soon so you can keep doing stuff like this!

  • This is absolutely amazing, you're wonderful, I love you. :D Really really good.

  • Wow, girl, you have a HELL of a voice!!!! The ending, especially as this was such a physical performance, was first rate. And your characterization was right-on. My local theater did J&H last year. Not so keen on the show, but love the part of Lucy. And, btw, I'm a theater veteran, so I know what I'm talking about when I say you are wonderful. Congratulations!!
