My dad took pictures of bones on a beach. I'm pretty sure it's at Iwo Jima because there is also a picture of mt. suribachi in the album. I think the pictures were taken in the 50s. Were there really that many bones washed up on the beaches there?

@brian74931 I"m absolutely serious. I luck out because it is a close up, and he's wearing his glasses, which helped. Many figures in these old films are just a person moving past camera quickly. He likewise was very angry when we gave it back to Japan.

@openflix I showed him the footage on vcr years ago and yes, he confirmed it...but I DO know my own father! ha!  It's just lucky the photographer took such a close up. There aren't many that close in the picture. Pop died in 2005.
