I have seen him play the last three years. I was recently given a book on Krakow published in 2006 with a lovely photo of him in there. So glad you all like this humble little film.
Nice video. Two months ago I meet an ukrainian bandura-trio playing (and singing) "unplugged" in the old district of Poznan (Poland). The music was so beautiful, it really touched my heart.
Wow, this must really be a once in a lifetime experience, to see a proper BARD in the streets. Best I've seen are people playing sucky Elvis at the street corners.. but this! Real, emotional folk music! Beautiful!

I remember saw him in Dresden last year. His unique costume is difficult to forget. I surprised that actually he travelled to many cities.

Ukrainian is spelled with 2 "i"s, rather than with one, as posted.

Just FYI, this instrument is called a "bandura", not "bandur", as posted.
Berehynya 2 years ago
I have changed it because your way is correct...but it was written this way in the liner notes of his CD.

This is not my culture, but WOW what tradition and passion. Too bad the sound quality isnt better. Awesome to see Bards still living the old ways!!!
