  • I have the same problem with my camera. Does anyone know why cameras have those focus lines when you record video games?

  • @zeus151000 Because it's a TV you're recording. My TV is an LCD so I don't get those focus lines but I figure LED TV's have a glass/ plastic type of thing over the screen unlike LCD's which has that weird thing as a screen.

  • @SamThePandaMan I have an LCD too. what I think it is now is how you focus your camera. if you SHARPLY focus it, sometimes it will get those focus lines in your video cause I have been fucking around with my camera and figured this out.

  • cheese

  • @littlesurfdude he is playing team defender. when he has the flag each kill is x2

  • phil no camera is going to be perfect. i honestly like the new one. youtube doesn't render 60 fps. but i'm noticing that the quality is better, for me anyway. it's your choice though. maybe you should have a poll on the king of hate forums on who likes which camera more?

  • ... phil didnt kill anyone with nade.. he got a challange for killing someone while flash / stunned :O

  • why not just get an hdpvr instead..... ten times easier and cheaper then those cameras

  • @CapTaiNC1024 he said he doesnt like those because it takes much much longer to upload videos and he uploads a shit ton a day lol

  • why does it say x2? does he have the double xp thing?

  • @littlesurfdude yeah

  • The audio isn't as crisp, but I think I can live with it (the gunshots seem muffled, though Phil's voice is fine). I liked the blur, actually.

  • 1080p look beast

  • Phil's going to rage when he realizes YouTube doesn't support 60 fps.

  • @mdouet can someone tweak YT to unlock 60fps in videos?

  • PHIL, it looks awfull

  • phil, you cant really notice those lines in such moments as 1:28. you cant see them

  • @darkwatch127 are you blind or what?

    They are super clear :P

  • on youtube its only 35 fps sometimes it jumps to 45 only for a second though

  • The blurred version looks kinda crappy :/ I prefer crisp with the focus lines.

  • Well Phil, the camera does a fine job i can tell you, when yoy dayd there where lines i had to pause the video to find them. honestly they don't botter me. so in 720p it's the best quality videos you have so far. (i think)

  • one thing: HD PVR

  • @starfox300 He won't use a capture card, you must be new.

  • @coolskillz13 nope I watch his vids since 2008 and I still want him to use a capture card.

  • @starfox300 Sucks for you, since he never will.

  • The focus lines totally dont bother me and I'm sure nobody else either, the crisp the better

  • on 1080p the sharpness is out of place

  • I kind of think your other camera looked better phil

idk maybe cuz i was so used to it

but when im watching in 1080p it looks real nice except for the lines or it gets a little 2 blurry at times

i think this camera has the potential to look really nice and better than the other camera once you figure out the right settings

  • am I the only one that noticed that the killcam didn't show the type of weapon was used at 7:03 - 7:13? I'm playing on the PS3 and I could have sworn I've seen it there

  • @jagr06 EMP.

  • @BlueUbi EMP affects killcams? I never noticed it before on the PS3 =/

  • @Venzior Not the Canon 7d...too good of a camera, all sorts of issues with lines for recording....from what i have read, it has to do with the lens being having image stabilization, haven't found a way to make it work yet.

  • The colors are crisp, the image is clearer than the older camera, I'm watching at 1080p

  • Older Camera Plz

  • Your reds look pink. Also way to bight. Turn contrast on tv all the way up then sharpness to zero.

  • make the changes to your tv. That in turn will help your camera.

  • Yeah I kinda like your old camera more, but I hate change so maybe it's just me... I thought it was fine beforehand, and also 1080p sometimes takes a while to load, sometimes it doesn't, kinda random. But yeah, I mean this looks okay I guess but I don't really see a big enough difference... It's mad bright and kinda gives me a headache haha.

  • DSP: I'm camping! XD

  • If you have lag watching 1080 maybe your computer is too old.

  • bro i love this u try to be different and not get a capture card and show ppl u can have decent quality

  • We gonna go blind fron the unfocus blur, the old camera was better. It was an actual video camera with a more forgiving focus range. The nex is like a dslr that focuses on a very specific point showing the lines

  • hey phil the brightness may be just a tad high still but other then that the picture with the slight blur looks good ..please thumb up so he can see

  • It may just be my computer, but when in full 1080p the video is really laggy. My suggestion is to stay with the old camera.

  • @MrBlueburt You dont have to put the quality on 1080p. The video lags for me too but 720p looks the same to me with no lag, but that could just be my computer.

  • Just leave the focus lines, better than blurry videos. Or return the camera, there has to be something better which doesn't have these issues.

  • @DSPGaming have you tried checking also your TV? or the setting of the game? usually those would be the v-sync of the game, right?

  • I would rather have focus lines that I can barely see than have a blurry video.

  • also, tbh, the focus lines aren't too noticeable from my PoV. I would have concentrate a little more than usual to find them, which no one really does when they watch a video. So, I say, make it more crisp and deal with nearly un-noticeable focus lines.

  • The camera works great. I'm sure you wont be using it very much with gaming since the file sizes will be huge, but it's pretty awesome. I know YouTube degrades the fps from 60 to 30. With the other camera, it was pretty noticeable that you were recording with a camera, but now it almost looks as if I, the viewer, was playing the game. The main problem with the other camera was brightness, lit up areas were too bright, and dark areas were too dark. this one's perfect.

  • the old camera was fine for me, i could read text and all that.

  • How about the sound its needs the connection to the actual feed without through tv to camera

  • Comment removed

  • i think it looks fine when you make it crisp, just my opinion i just don't mind seeing the lines

  • ok why i watch the video on 720p HD but when i go to 1080p HD it lags?

  • @THEstoRYofFUck13 1080p can wreck your pc if it isn't strong enough

  • @THEstoRYofFUck13 Because 1080p is much higher quality and your connection is probably not strong enough to load it seamlessly.

  • DSP, why not use a capture card? It gets rid of the problems you get from using a camera and provides a better video quality.

  • @conyo985 because it takes longer to upload videos

  • @yingandyang10

Yeah, thanks for the reply and I read other comments too. Using a capture card will take longer to work on since his commentaries won't be captured real time. He has to edit that in. I'm sorry DSP. I didn't realize that sooner.

  • @conyo985 No need to apologize to DSP, there are a lot of viewers on here that are also unaware of this like you, but at least you were mature with your comment unlike some assholes who just like to troll him lol

  • Looks like a TV display frequency vs camera FPS recording rate issue. Maybe the TV is refreshing faster than the camera can handle. If you can up the camera's FPS rate, that might fix things or help.

  • I can't see the lines when Phil is moving and such

  • For me the videos look like crap in 360p which i think is normally ok. I have to go up to 720 to get better video. I like the new camera though it looks good.

  • The lines aren't a problem for me. Don't change the focus, keep it crispy.

  • Phil how can you forget the enemies all have faces made of steel that require multiple hits

  • the text looks really blurred especially the scoreboard

  • To me, these take longer to buffer. Anyone else having this problem? Other than that, pretty sweet camera

  • @TheFallenWizard9 its not only me too but ts normal though higher resolution longer buffing

  • yeah make the vid super crisp !! the few lines are not that a big of a deal

  • XD lmao it's funny how bad phill is at this game.

  • At about 2:55 he said he killed a lot of people with the grenade,it was only 1 guy...

  • Huzzah! I'm upgrading my PC soon, so I should finally be able to watch 1080p Youtube videos ^_^

  • Phil, the only thing is when you blur your camera, it makes the lattering blury. Everything else is fine though.

  • For some reason, 720p actually looks slightly better than 1080p. (On MY computer) 720 seems a lot more clean on my computer than 1080.

  • @LongLiveCows A lot of times it depends on the computer but u are right.

  • DSP actually watching a killcam??

  • I'd say it's better with more focus/less blur even if the 'focus lines' show up. They're not exactly a big problem.

  • The camera is so HD that it picks up the focus lines. I would rather it stay crisp with focus lines, than blurry and no focus lines. They are not that much of problem.

  • dayum still no 1080p for me ... cmon youtube process faster !!!!!

  • So that's why I always see people standing or walking around doing nothing in MW3, they are testing their new camera :P

  • The lighting when you're out in the produced sunlight makes the text on the bottom left hard to read. Other than that the HUD is fine when you change the focus. The more Crisp focus makes the lines more visible, but that's alright, they aren't that bad. The focus is completely fine to me, It just looks like there is too much Luminosity.

  • im curious, what file size are these videos?

  • @kormaruR From what i can tell it's about 364 mbs for full 1920x1080.

  • @kormaruR this video 1080p is 364,76Mb.

  • @DANIELis74 how u guys know the size?

  • Comment removed

  • @kormaruR but.. dude.. i mean it.. i talk about YT file size.. yeah=)

  • @kormaruR He mentioned it in a later video, he said it's about 1.7 GB

  • Not related to the camera but the textures are soo bad

  • Its looking better and better with each video, Phil.

  • Yes, looks very Crisp. The lines is bearable and not obnoxious to my eyes. Seems like it is just seeing the lines in the tv of it reading the frames.

  • yeah it looks very cool man

  • I wouldn't sacrifice the crisp video if it meant that the lines go away. Don't worry about those lines, they barely noticeable.

  • It looks great in 240p
