  • I too mourn the loss of Rock 106. I was excited by the mix of classic rock and new music that was actually good. The station that it has blossomed into is now my favorite on 99.9 Maybe some of you will like it too. Search WWCT Peoria

  • Awesome, thanks for posting! I've still got my static stickers from about '97. Best damned radio station on earth (or at least within 50 miles... ;). The new "105.7 The X" beats a sharp stick in the eye (I guess), but doesn't hold a candle to the old Rock 106. They had the best DJs and the commercial is about right; they played ALL the good shit, old and new.

  • I lived in E. Peoria (Germantown Hills) from 1975-1981. One of the girls in my class had a brother that was a DJ and got me shirts and stickers. What a great station. In fact in my top 5 of all time (ZROCK-Dallas, KSHE-95 St. Louis, Q102-Dallas, WWCT-Peoria, KZEW-98.1 Dallas) That is where I heard the news of Bon Scott, and John Bonham's deaths. Great Great Station, too bad like the good music, it's gone...

  • @srvnumber1fan I would put Rock 106 and KSHE on my list too. It's a crying shame to see and listen to what has become of ROCK 106 now.

  • I miss this station!!!!

  • Those were the days. I remember this station too.

  • i totally agree, fuck "new tower more power" what a crock of shit ROCK106ALL THE WAY!!!!
