In this game when Lucas meets Ness who saves him from the King Porky Statue and after they defeated Porky together he thought that he and Ness would be great friends and then Wario shows up to ruin everything. Ness saves Lucas from the Subspace Cannon by pushing him out of the way only to get caught in the beam himself. Wario looks like a pedophile when he turns Ness' Trophy to face him and then he laughs at poor Lucas scaring him away. At least Pokemon Trainer Red helps him overcome his fears.
Lucas lost his mother Hinawa when he was young and was seperated from his brother Claus so he wanted to grow stronger to avenge his mother and he made new friends so that he could restore the world by pulling the Seven Needles to awaken this dragon sleeping underground.
