Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.
Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
Gay people not marrying is not discrimination. That law is applied equally to everyone. It is not like gay cannot have happy unions with marriages. What gays need to realize is that not everyone is going to think that gay marriages are legit. If federal law that allows all of America have gay marriage, will that end the fight for same sex rights? I do not believe that is so because what gay people want is acceptance of their preference. But everyone should respect and harm no man or woman.
Are you really this stupid? As a gay man i dont care what you think. I care that you stay out of my way of EQUALITY. Whether you think it ligit or not does not matter to me. Getting married for me has nothing to do with you, will not affect the way you live, will not affect the way your marriage ends. You speak of not harming but there are many ways you can harm someone with out hitting them with a stone. What you wrote harms what America is/should be all about.
Obviously you cared enough to insult me. My views will not interfere with you sleeping with your man or being in a loving relationship. Call down and stop overreacting. If someone on youtube writing about how gays shouldn't be beaten constitutes in harming people, you have some other issues to work out.
I love that comment, Less they forget to be judgmental and unwittedly slip in to love and mercy. If once group is written out of the constitution to day, others will be written out tomorrow.
His speech clearly hits the mark and rightly calls out Black homophobia and our (the Black community's) selfishness to support all struggles for equality as our own.
This was brilliant. I loved how he took the bible, that is used so often to justify homophobia, discrimination and marginalization and turned the same levitical garbage right back on the unreads ear. Most don't read or let alone think for themsleves. They just unthinkly sprew out the same poison that they have been passed down generation after generation. I laughed so hard! He proved that Joe Christian can't have it both ways and how rediculous some of this bible thumping really is.
Amazing Amazing Amazing speech by Julian Bond. He is one of my heroes and should get more media play and accolades than do Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton
julia bond has an official channel go to ---- iamjuliabond she is very interesting to watch, very fun and goofy she is probably gonna get big and do some comedy....
Equality is a human right, and although we may at times have separate beliefs, we all need to bond together to support each other for equality and support for all...including the gay and lesbian gay community, who seeks to enter into the institution of marriage. "We're all okay, and some day marriage for all of us will be okay too."

Romans 1: 24-32
The tragic result is that ALL humans are guilty before God. We can find repentance through Jesus our Saviour, who, by his stripes and the shedding of his blood cleansed us.
Of course, the Bible in no way condemns LOVE between people of the same sex, but it does say that sexual conduct between those people is sin.

The Old Testament Law was for the Israelites before Jesus. Gentiles are not under the Torah laws of Leviticus. Don't judge lest you be judged also. BUT, God created man and woman. The first marriage was in the Garden of Eden. Gay people have been overcome by the evil one Satan who is the deceiver. He hates humans, tries to turn us away from God's love and commandments. When we die we are judged by God despite whether we believe or do not believe in the Great and Awesome God of the Holy Bible.
Why should I listen to someone who has given up their moral autonomy and instead has opted to do and think "what the Bible says". Your ethics are an ethics of "I was told to think/do it".
Funny how Coretta's stance on gay rights becomes unmentionable when the religious right defines "civil rights" as something unique to the ongoing stuggle of Americans of African descent.
Thank the dear Lord for sane people like Julian Bond. Thank you, Thank you, thank you. I am a straight woman who is fighting for equality for all, specifically gay and lesbians. And thank you Astoria30001 for sharing this video with me. Bless you!

Wow, I am a lesbian who got married to the love of my life last year and I cried and smiled when I viewed Mr. Bond . I am white who has worked for low income balck women for 20 years and could not understand why they voted against me...I will definitely share this...maybe it will help build a "bond". Thank you Mr. Bond.
wow... "Civil rights are positive legal prerogatives: the right to equal treatment before the law. These are the rights shared by everyone. There is no one in the United States who does not, or should not, enjoy or share in enjoying these rights. Gay and lesbian rights are not special rights in any way. It isnt 'special' to be free from discrimination. It is an ordinary, universal entitlement of citizenship."
this is my introduction to mr. bond and i'm converted! i was inspired to make a donation and become a member, even though i'm a little on the white side of the spectrum - not that it matters to me.
it was a wonderful and touching speech and i was moved to make a donation to the naacp - and became a member at the same time. is that clear enough, tannsolo?

i was blown away by this speech. i'd never heard him before, and now i'm telling everyone about him. there aren't many folks who can take on such difficult subjects and yet remain a pleasure to listen to.
Winston is a friend of mine, too, and he is an inspiration. Winston reminds us of how far we have come and challenges us to fight for how far we must still go.
This was the most touching speech i have heard in quite a while, and the most eloquently said. If this does not reform the hearts of all people who hear it, people who have brains to see the logic and sensibility of what was said, then there is still much work to be done...This isn't about gay rights it's about human rights, and after all, we are all human, thus it follows that we should all have access to the same civil rights accorded to us by the constitution!
I've long been an admirer of Julian Bond. This brings it to a whole new level. What a fantastic, honest, logical speech. This should be mandated viewing for everyone. Well done Mr. Bond!
This is a proud moment for me and America. As an openly black man growing up in this country and around the world I have been a victim of senseless homophobia from my own people. I pray this will alter the opinion of people that simply don't know any better. Ignorance is not bliss. It's dangerous.

Sad that this speaker misleads by taking scripture out of context and makes fun out of God's Word. But then, there is freedom of speech provided by the First Amendment. People of faith have hope that no matter what the decision is, God has a purpose for each person that chooses to follow Him. In obedience to Him, He has the best in store for them. Whatever the decision is, God loves all of us still and not any act that violates His design.

Monogamous marriage is a socialist trick of the churches used to control your behaviours and property.
Why not polyandry or polygyny?
Henry VIII, despite what historians will say, threw the Papists out of England for this very reason.
Then Elizabeth I became prisoner of the Presbyters for this very reason.
Monogamy is a meme of tyranny masked with an esoteric hobgoblin created by man.
Mammalian evolution can only occur with heterosexual relationships.
Religious faggots deny evolution.

How sad that both sides take scripture out of context -- just remember that Jesus was silent on homosexuality.
However, Jesus did say to love your neighbor as yourself.
WWJD? He'd love and accept everyone, regardless of sexuality.
