lots of people know about cat stevens/aka josef/yusuf-whatever his name, he's still the same person/albeit in my humble opinion a little off track, but i think the song is about his idea of god, whether he knows it or not-he's always sang about his idea of whatever you want to call god/allah/buddha/the supreme being/krishna

he didn't have an arranged marriage...he brought 2 girls he was interested in making his wife home and asked for his mothers opinion...and he said her suggestion was the perfect choice...it wasnt arranged..just he involved his mother in the decision...good move i think..

In the official video of Yusuf singing this song in a coffee house, someone opens a book to a chapter titled "The Light of Thy Countenance" which is a passage ttaken from Job in the Old Testament. I think he's expressing his love for God/Allah because the Creator is the Light of all Countenance.

i am pretty certain the new work is under 'Yusuf'. I saw the cover of the album and it says 'Yusuf' on it. But then again, I ain't no authority on the matter. I am yet to come across something that says it will be under 'Cat Stevens'

p.s. i didn't know people in italy knew about yusuf too. lol

Dear Waleed, thank you for the answer. Well, here in Italy Cat Stevens was well known of course... maybe, now that he's Yusuf, they are trying to avoid him and forget they had known him.

Anyway... the news about the "Cat Stevens" label came out on a music news website. Who knows... anyway...we'll enjoy his music, whatever the name he chooses.

Waleed, sorry for bothering again. I read somewhere that this next work will be published under the name of Cat Stevens and not Yusuf. Is it true? ok, I know. It's always him, it was a mere curiosity, maybe a bit more than that.

This is wonderful. It sounds so much like his early 70's work and I love the stripped down production this time around, than the last album which was a bit over the top in places. If this single is any indication this new album is going to be on par with his best work.
