i LOVE swimming at the river, especially on ponies! its really only fun when you go bareback. at the equestrian centre i go to you get to this every sunny day because we have full acces to the river.

so if it's dangerous for a horse to get water up it's nostrils.. why does my horse feel the need to dunk his head in his water bucket all the time? he's not dead/ill? all I see it two girls is having fun. they didn't once kick or pull. the horses couldn't care less if they were screaming, if they did care they would be spooking but those horses were having the time of their lives!

I agree that they weren't riding like u would do in dressage tests, but that wasn't what it was about. They had fun with their horses and as far as one can see in this clip they treat their animals in a good way. ;-)
@Emofoxdemon Both horses are calm and responsive to their riders. The girls have clearly spent many many hours training, interacting with and hanging out with their horses. The body language of the horses is absolutely trusting and relaxed, a little playful, a little bored. There's no excessive kicking, yanking of reins and no reason to think from this video that this is anything other than a fun afternoon with two lovingly cared for pinto ponies and their riders. I've trained/ridden 45 yrs
