This is exactly what I wanted! Overall a great tutorial. Just a simple note, if it seems like your chrome is to white, simply reduce the amount of curves you have under "Bevel and Emboss"

You know what's nice about your tut in particular. The fact that it isn't a over the top ecstatic voice showing he deserves subscribers, or a high pitched unprepared voice where the result is shoddy because he wasn't really paying attention the either the work he was presenting, or how he gave vocal instructions. Could you explain why I got part of of the word in perfert chrome effect while some part of the word in broken dots instead of clear metal lines, I have follow every single steps you have suggested. text color does matter. i tried this with my text first black, and it turned out way too dark (the gradient was always a dark gray with little color change). so make sure its white first!
