This Video, I think gave you more then a little look at Beth's Dark Side of things. Now you put that with Mick. Who only knows what could happen. Buffy was alright for it's time when there were more teenybopers around going "Oh No I Just Can't Miss Show Tonight" I never saw alot of Angel, but I must say he was not really like Mick.

MOONLIGHT is more NEWAGE & OLD. It covers what has been missing in the middle!

Moonlight got rid of the hokeyness and Buffy-ness of vampires and moderniized, while making it clearly film noire and infusing it with fresh comedy.

Oh I really can't agree with you about Buffy, I thought it was a great show. But if you watched even one episode of Angel you would recognize yourself in this show.

But I don't like the way they're handling vampires in this show. I mean, they've cut out all the classics, like garlic, no reflection, crosses, sunlight, holy water, stake through the heart. I mean, that is how a vampire is supposed to be killed or harmed.

The whole vampire element is gone, they could've just had humans instead.

The main reason I like Moonlight is because they have updated the mythology and gotten rid of the hokey "garlic and crosses" non-sense. But, everybody's different.

I think I will watch Angel eventually. It looks like it would be good.

Gghh... God, I'm sorry for all of you who like this show... but I cant stand it.. it's a plain copy of Angel. I mean he was an vampire in LA, had a human soul, worked as a private investigator and was in love with a human, or a bunch of them actually. And David Boreanaz is Sooooo much hotter than this guy.

So I'm sorry, but I had to say it, I have the right to an opinion too right ;)

I just don't get the point about doing a show, that has already been done.

well of course you are entitled. But many fans of Angel gave it a chance and liked. I never saw Angel so I can't compare. But, it can't be any worse than Buffy. God, that show was the WORST. I think it was written by a 13 year old girl. And that's my opinion.

=[ i think Alex is a lot hotter than David- maybe not as clean cut (but that's part of his looks) I think Alex has more charm. And regarding the show- it's a lot different then Angel. Angel was really... out there. It had all sorts of crazy things going on. But Moonlight took the normal and mixed in a little supernatural spice without going overboard (like Angel.) In my opinion -^,^-

Since I posted that message last year, I have attempted to watch the pilot of Angel and 2 other episodes further into the series. It was just too corny and bizarre for me. I agree with your assessment that parts of that show were "out there". Moonlight is just as you described it- real life type strories but with a supernatural twist. Alex does have loads of charm and, in my opinion, he is a far better actor than David B.

yes, I got that feeling from her books, too. But it's been a long time since I have read anything of hers. But, for me, Interview with the Vampire had a lot of bisexual over and undertones.

I remember when the movie came out and people were all a-twitter about the scene where Tom Cruise turns Brad Pitt and how it had homosexual tones. But, it was a well done scene. However, I still feel that Moonlight's Josef/Mick turning scene was the best I have seen.

I like that show- was really into it during season 1. Season 2 hasn't really caught my attention- but I love the Gwen character. She is AWESOME.

Yeah Gwen is awesome. :) Strangely I got involved with it during Season 2. But I guess that's because of Spike from Buffy and the darker undertones.

ohhhhhhhhhhh, I thought that slash meant like slasher/violent. Got it. But, if you want to put slah into the context of vampires, they are predatorial, sensual,and erotic so gay almost doesn't apply to them. Know what I mean? They can go either way or both ways and it still works (at least in my perception if the vamp image).
