i love zappa but could never understand why he decided to re-do all the bass and drums, i love all his albums apart from ruben and the jets - for that reason. only have a copy with the new bass and drums.

This is not a remix. This is the LP version, before the remaster kicked in.

Cool- I never heard any of the 80s mix of "We're Only In It". The change in bass and drums make some small vocal parts easier to hear, but definitely presents a cleaner, yet less frantic atmosphere to the music. Great to hear.

it is lumpy gravy....its just not the original lumpy gravy, this album was re-released with different versions. This track is from that 2nd release.

It isn't 'Lumpy Gravy'. It's from 'Only in it for the money'. However, it's not the original version. It's the 80s remix which was originally released as a two-on-one cd coupled with 'lumpy gravy'.

even this is the 80s remix, it is still very listenable, but sadly it does not do justice to the origanal mothers of days of old still this is more listenalb than nikelback
