I just spent 3 hrs online reading about mongol empire on china, east europe and russia. I was curious about heritage, and why certain countries hate each other. But Mongolia was ceded from China as a result of the civil war and the end of the Qing. The PRC can be seen to be the new dynasty of China because it is the successor to the Qing. It's very complicated, you should go to university and study Chinese history and you will better understand instead of making bold statements.

I just spent 3 hrs online reading about mongol empire on china, east europe and russia. I was curious about heritage, and why certain countries hate each other. Also wanted to know why some facial features look Asian and what not. Very interesting stuff. Golden Horde occupied russia for around 279 years? I live in the US and it isn't even that old; and thats just a piece of history the Mongol and eastern world. There is so much history I don't know about :(.

Perhaps they concentrated their manpower and resources in dealing with the Song Dynasty and the Western Xia state. They may had little interest on the Mongol tribes and paid little attention to them. The Khitans probably used divide and rule method where they supported some Mongol tribes against other tribes, keeping the Mongols from being united and became a threat.

After that time, Korean were offended at the rising Mongols rude diplomacy. Korean killed all Mongols officials and opened war against Mongols. Mongols conquered Jurchens Kim dynasty and occupied northern China in 1234 AD.
Mongols made a peace treaty with Kori in 1270 AD and they changed the name of their empire to Yuan in 1271 AD.
Mongols conquered the whole Chinese territory when they conquered South China in 1279 AD.
Chinese expelled Mongols and gained independence from the invaders in 1368 AD.

I have to say that I like Kublai Khan. From what the documentary says: He was truly a just and honorable leader. You wouldn't expect great intellect from nomads, but this man has proved me wrong. You can find amazing people, even in the crappiest of places.

@lorddmn Mongolia was part of the Qing dynasty until it fell. Qing was just a continuation of the Chinese dynastic cycle, it was a successor to the (Mongol) Yuan Dynasty. But Mongolia was ceded from China as a result of the civil war and the end of the Qing. The PRC can be seen to be the new dynasty of China because it is the successor to the Qing. It's very complicated, you should go to university and study Chinese history and you will better understand instead of making bold statements.

The five being the Manchurian, Tibetan, Mongolian, Hui and Han Chinese. And, if you didnt know, there are more Mongolians living in China than in Mongolia itself. Mongolia would still be part of China if the Russians did not intervene after wwII. I don't want to insult people like you, but history is not as simple as it seems, dont apply blanket statements.

Furthermore, Kublai Khan and all the emperors of the Yuan Dynasty restricted the movements of all Mongols from other Khanates.
In fact, the Yuan Dynasty collapsed 70 years after the other 3. During those 70 years, not ONE Mongol outside of the Yuan Dynasty was allowed in China.
If you read your history, you would know that the Yuan was started in 1279. Kublai relinquished the Great Khanate in 1271.
