  • Oh, my God! This sound mouve my soul.

  • England born and grew, love chinese classical music

  • I really don't like how you can actually hear the sound of the finger sliding along the steel strings, wonder if the silk strings of ancient guqin would sound better :]

  • So mesmerizing. Beautifully composed.

  • Netshows likes this video and we invite you to promote it and have it featured on the Netshows Website (netshows.us)

  • reminds me of a blues slide acoustic

  • I just ordered a Guqin today! I've mastered many stringed instruments but I have a feeling this one will be my favorite to learn.

  • Wonderful!

  • Listening to this composition, I felt as if someone (something) was tickling my heart.

    Thank You.

  • Awesome

  • how that was great thanks

  • Respect from Romania, for classic chinese music.

  • 天兮 穹苍之音

  • 很好!我想学guqin, but I have to wait to learn. Thanks for the great music. 谢谢您!

  • Masterful! Brillant! True essence of Taoism...

  • 很好!

  • Simply beautiful.

  • 这么好听了

  • This is the music played by heart, beautiful.

  • When I close eyes whilе listen Guqin my body get shiver. Indeed this song is very beautiful. Bravo !! *closing eyes*

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • extremely good music to listen to while fishing and enjoying nature

  • Beautiful music & instrument.

  • What is the diffrent between guzheng and Guqin? Are they the same? A think there a bit different between both. I just wonder is Guzheng or Guqin natively from China? What dynasty was it? Really I wanna know. Could anyone help me?

  • Chin is inherently Han, as Hsiao is. Zheng was actually adopted by Han people from other ethic groups, as many others such as ErHu, Di.

According to classical books, Chin has a history of at least 5000 years. At the very least we are sure that Confucius was a Chin master.

  • Chin is Han native, as Se, Hsiao are. Zheng was adopted from non-Han people, as many other Chinese instruments like Di, ErHu, etc.

Classical books recorded a very ancient tradition of Chin, about 5000 years. Contemporary Chinese historians, under strong influence of Marxism pseudo-historical philosophy, simply deny this. Yet we are sure that Confucius was a Chin master, and His time was more than 2500 years ago.

  • Chin is natively Han, while Zheng was adopted from other ethnic groups.

According to classical books, Chin has a history of at least 4000 years. But contemporay mainstream Marxian historian disagree. Yet we are sure that Confucius was a Chin master. Confucius lived more than 2500 years ago.

  • The 古筝 has more string than the 古琴.. as for the history goes I couldn't help you out!

  • nope, guzheng (古筝) has anywhere between traditionally 13 strings to the modern 21 string form. It has movable bridges for tuning.

Guqin 古琴 originally had five, but was standardized to 7 strings some 2 thousand years ago (thus was alternatively called the 7 stringed zither). No bridges means the style is based on sliding notes.

Unlike what chengaitao said, Zheng is also a native Han instrument that developed directly from the Se (which is now all but extinct).

  • so beautiful. thank you.

  • Lovely ;}

  • Lovely... ;}

  • what is the best age suitable to play guqin? Is there a too old or young age?

  • My 2 Cents: any time is good time, so long as one is physically capable of doing it.

  • does any1 know how to buy a good guqin?

  • me encanta esta musica......la adoro.....

  • to me it's not as necessarily relaxing as it is... nostalgic? contemplative maybe? but it's incredibly simple but moving, and being chinese i am used to music in this scale

  • I knew wangfeiwang like a brave fighter, now i know an artsite, a great one.

  • oh so 'moving'....truely beautiful

  • This video is potentially deadly. My heart rate drops so low watching this. relaxing

  • lol. i feel u bro. my heart just melted too.

  • I love the guqin I want one for my birthday but my mum won't let me have one

  • That sucks that she won't let you have one. They are really cool! They also sound very peaceful. It is foolish for her to not let you spread your creative energy on a beautiful instrument such as the Guqin.

  • sto es cancion para el oido,a ke es si!!

  • Now I know which video to watch whenever I need to relax. Thank you for this.

  • Brilliant!! There is no doubt! Guqin, the queen of all instruments!! Love this sound so much!

  • Have you ever tried to make tai-chi with his music? Incredible...

  • Is GuQin ever played with a quick melody? Like some of the pieces played on a Guzheng?

  • Quickness is in part subjective. Generally the qin prefers contemplation over flash. Sometimes that is compatible with speed, sometimes not. The short answer to your question is "no"...

  • oh top class! bravo!!!!

  • Beautifully played, and the video enhances the music, and moreover is entirely appropriate given that the one central theme of Chinese traditional art is the harmony of the natural world and man's place in it. Those not familiar with this cultural tradition might indeed initially find it cheesy by western standards, until they deepen their acquaintance with it.

  • This is excellent. I also play Guqin and love Guqin. Some old Japanese Guqin music is nice too. it has different taste.

  • What is the Japanese guqin? No such thing. Are you referring to the Japanese koto??

  • It should exactly be called "Kin" with Japanese pronunciation. It is an equivalent of "Qin" in Chinese. Qin was imported into Japan in 8th century from China. Original Kin score was made by Gyokudo Urakami in 18th century. The music is based on ancient Japanese music "Saibara."

  • Very beautiful music, well done!

I love it. Thank you for sharing.

  • Great music and video and hope to see more your production and more qin music like this.

  • I can wait to meet you. I am planning to take lessons from you soon. :) I'll e-mail you soon.
