With the grassroots affiliation to hockey, I'm not sure I see the angle you're looking at when you analyze Broomball's aspect of physical play. Hockey has fighting, slashing, cross-checking, tripping, hooking, roughing, unsportsmanlike conduct, spearing, boarding, holding and instigation. You think a little rough play in a college intramural league is THAT bad??
