but the 'calmness' of the discourse is a representation of an already accepted set of values...

the material conditioning of the world defines the conscience reactions. If we would have a conversation of values with me holding a rifle would the conversation carry on differently? would the meanings we give to the discourse be different and more 'Felt'.
