i agree with you guys about waiting to get married. my fiance and i will be celebrating 7 years together this year and everybody keeps asking up about when we're getting married and when we're having kids. that's fine for them but we're nowhere close to wanting children right now nor are we ready to get married. even though im almost 26 and he's almost 29, it's just not right for us right now. do it when you feel it's right for you. definitely don't do it just because you feel like you have to.

Actually, living together is probably one of the best things you can do before you marry. It gives you a sense of how the other person is and how clean they are. It helps you spot out some differences with each other and you can find what bugs you most about the other person. Since you guys already live together, I don't see how being married would alter your ability to travel, get an education etc. If you weren't living together, I could see how marriage would change things. It is such a personal thing. Never rush into marriage. I got married at 25 and am now getting divorced at 29. It is sad but that is life! You have to live your life before committing to someone else.

my parents were 21 and 29 (yes 8 years apart) when they got married. They had my oldest sister when my mom was 23, my other sister at 25, my third sister at 30 and me at 32. Yes they are still married 27 years later even though they married at a young age (well atleast for my mom).

My parents and my fiances parents didn't live together before marriage and theyve been together 25 and 30 years. My fiance and I don't live together right now either and I'm not at all worried about things not working out because we didn't live together. I think if you get to know someone well enough, good and bad you will be able to tell if that's the person for you.
I wouldn't say age is everything. I think it's more of when YOU feel comfortable and confident that you're ready to make that kind of a commitement. Ive been with my fiance for 5 yrs and im only 21 were getting married in the fall. I think for some people its okay to stay together forever and not get married and for others it works for them.

I think you guys are being really smart about things. a lot of people rush into things and regret them later. and it is smarter to wait until you can financially support yourself before you get married and have children. some of the best advice I ever got was that a person should learn how to live on their own before they try to live with a spouse. and it's so true. you really get to know yourself when you have to do things on your own first. then you can be better in a relationship. :)

My husband and I have been together since we were 13.... We got married @ 26! I think the best thing is to wait. Go to college, get your careers started. And if your still together after and still want the same things, its meant to be.

I deffiantly agree with not getting married too early but it doesnt always end in a divorce. I know you guys didnt say that, but im making a point. My mom and dad got married when she was 19 and he was 20. Theyve been married for 13 years and are still going. Sure there were bumps along the way, but what marriage doesnt? I'm 24 and am engaged, but I'll be 26 by the time we get married. My fiance is 7 years older. I definitely think you're doing the right thing, it's about if the 2 of you feel ready and that's all that matters :) We felt ready and that's why we decided to get married, it should be absolutely nothing to do with what anyone else thinks We want kids at some point but will probably wait a few years yet because I definitely don't feel old enough for that yet! lol x

Haha you can tell jordan is really pleased with your decision Erin. I know males in this age group are not about getting married (generally speaking), they don't want to be weighed down and set expectations for themselves that are not realistic. This comes from a almost 30 year old that has been with her bf for 6 years (living together for 5 or so). My sister got engaged last year (they were both early twenties) and it broke apart, he "changed" his mind one day and they are no longer engaged...

Oh yeah my husband and I met in 2003, got married in 2006 when I was 24. We will have our 6th year anniversary in August of this year. We are very happy and are kid free lol. (I had mentioned earlier the age i got married but not how old I currently am..I will be 30 in April)! Thanks for this video! :)

Ya'lls take on marriage is spot on how it should be for everyone. Marriage is never something to be rushed into. Wherever you are in ur life..if you feel you are in the right place for marriage then awesome! I married at age 24 and am still happily married with no children. It takes work at times and you can't jump to divorce if you have a bad fight. And whenever I have argued with my husband ..we always end up laughing in the end and closer than ever. I don't agree with people pressuring anyon

@mrsrichardson603 my great aunt got married at 13 and she had a baby at 13 and so did her daughter and then her grandaughter had a baby at 16, i don't why i felt the need to share this but i thought it was like your comment :) (btw they were together until he died, i just dont know when that was)
