  • @rkbeswick

Thanks for comment, glad you enjoyed it. The music was gained by pressing the audio swap button, the track is called A Sad Pathway by Heavenaura.

  • Thank you.

  • Good video you captured our feelings also we been going on holiday there for 20+ years since we were kids and every time you leave its always with a heavy heart and you long for the next time you are there. Back of Keppoch has a magical quality which swallows you up.

  • @ecosselad Back of Keppoch is also magical on the train; the way the Sprinter winds round and up the swerves, into Arisaig station!

  • wow this brings back memories arisaig driving past portanaluig silversands cottage, loved it there

  • what is life like there

and whats the farms like and the joba

  • A lovely video.

    Was there in May!!!

    Sooooooooo beautiful !!!!

  • My dad was from Arisaig. Its so beautiful. Wish I could get up there more often xx

  • we stayed in the farmhouse at 3.48 for a week. As we all know arisaig is a fantastic place but i must say alistair from portnadoran will be a big miss.. : (

  • Alistair RIP. He was a big, huge part of my childhood. God bless Audrey.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! we go up to Arisaig every year and it just so happens that we were leaving on the same day as you and thats our blue toyota previa parked at 3.39!! we had stopped at a nearby beach cos we didnt want to go home! we stay at achateilasaig which is just up the road from where you stop filming :) Arisaig has got to be one of the best places in the world :D

  • Glad you enjoyed it. I've seen Achateilasaig, it's a lovely house with its own beach. Heaven on earth.

  • @xcaz1210x " one of the best places in the world". Probably a technical error, you actually typed "a one off : the best place in the world" :-)

  • I almost got a bit 'wobbly' watching this - been going to up Arisaig all of my life (35 years) for family holidays and now with my husband who loves it too! The most beautiful and peaceful place in the UK. it's like coming home when we arrive and I always get upset when we have to leave - even if it's raining. Sigh!!!

  • 33 yrs and feel the same as you. I will always feel a connection with this place, especially portnadoran.. 4/5 visits a year for 30 yrs means something indescribable. Am I anonymous here? I'd batter the interlopers at Alistair's.

  • Arisaig...the best place on earth!Have great memories,about 30yrs worth...love the Crofters pub.Morar and Mallaig...magic!

There's one thing puzzling me...you're heading home to Mallaig! lol. 5,000,000*

  • Well spotted, we always leave via this route as it allows us to savour the beautiful views one last time before the long treck home.

  • Yes let's please keep this place a secret. By posting such messages on the internet LOL

Seriously, great video man! Completely captured how I felt when I had to leave for the last time, I had tears rolling down my cheeks as I drove away from Glenancross, through Morar and Arisaig and on back to so-called 'civilisation'.

  • Watched this with tears in my eyes! I've recently completed Land's End to John O'Groats, and being a Local Hero fan stopped off at Arisaig (camped at Camusdarach - highly recommended), and Pennan on the homeward journey. I completely fell in love with Arisaig to the point I'm now looking for a new job up that way. Britain's best keep secret!

  • Glad you enjoyed it and congrats on completing Lands End- John O'Groats.

I really do love this place, nothing can beat the sunsets and the beaches in my opinion. It's a great place to chill & recharge your batteries.

  • Fantastic LMR164
