Sanyo Eneloop is the way to go.

I think I got like 8 minutes of video time on fresh alkalines... (O.o)

I bought this camera and the battery life for me is amazing, I use this camera EVERYDAY and I change the batteries once a week.Also what I do is instead of wasting money on regular batteries, I use rechargeable batteries (you'll save a lot more money trust me.) And believe it or not, I put this camera on a test next to my Rebel and it shoots better quality photos.

hi m confused between nikon s8100 and canon sx 130IS. nikon comes with cmos bt canon with ccd sensor .is canon sx130 IS better than s8100 in terms of low light -day light conditions and freezing fast moving objects.any help would be appreciated. thanks.

@TeamLosiGuy For what I read, battery life using alcaline batteries is ridiculous, BUT, it achieves some pretty good life (up to 370 pictures) using NiMH batteries, especially, Sanyo Eneloop.
