  • Breathtakingly beautiful.

  • I was baking, and then I heard this and I couldn't do anything except sit and lose myself in the sheer brilliance of it. I ended up having to buy the cookies, but I thought it was a wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon (because, after hearing such beautiful music, you have to see the movie again. Naturally.)

  • It's indeed a pitty that the Academy didn't recognize/appreciate the value of this music..people will do instead!!! When i heard it first time i felt i would be sick if i wouldn't listen to it again and again..it touches every mm of your soul, body and mind..you would say god wrote this music himself..there are no words to describe the feelings it awakes or brings out in you..it makes you cry..an endless, breathtaking harmony and sensuality in this music..only a genius could have written it!!

  • This is the second time that the Academy does not recognize the mastemind of Abel Korzeniowki. Both his wonderful scores to A Single Man and W.E. were nominated at the Golden Globes but at the Oscars he has not been nominated. Shame on the Academy! This score is a masterpiece and Abel is one of the best living conductors when it comes to scoring music for movies. God Bless him!

  • awsome......einfach nur herrlich.....tres bien......this is a track born by soul, it is alive.

  • music for the soul....so wonderful !

    thank you for this beauty....

  • Love this soundtrack and this movie, my fav movie after seeing it.

  • It is so beautiful that it goes deep into the depths of your heart and squeezes your pain out in the form of tears.

  • I always want to cry when I'm listening this song

  • the sound of soul, you can't describe this beauty

  • How could anyone dislike this. Sheer beauty

  • a quiet thoughtful emotional sane movie.. the music is delicous.. i'm a 72 female and was so captured by sensousness. the love. the caring. i watch it everytime its on..looking for the female aria in the movie.. anyone know what it is?

  • How, on earth could anyone push the dislike button?... Well, silly me! There must be millions of reasons to dislike this. It's just the most amazing and breathtaking piece of music I've ever heard... Seriously - how could anyone dislike this?!

  • I have to admit, than this song kills me every single second. Because of that I can convince myself to play violin again, but i can't finde the notes so..

And thanks for this song because I don't hate violin yet, like before this song (soundtrack)

  • I did dream

    of what love was

and how to seem to be,

as most do, and get it done.

    I sought the ultimate definition

of what you and I could be

    doing, what you and me

    could never truly be.

  • "They pull me back to the present, and I realize that everything is exactly the way it was meant to be....And it was."

  • Beautiful movie and musics

  • Im crying..

  • And just like that this music changed my life.

  • @Winduct nice drama

  • @gutgd Yup.

  • Darn Oscars cannot appreciate such a masterpiece.

  • And just like that it came...

  • last 5minutes i was in perfect calmness

  • This kind of clarity ordinary people can get only by using drugs.Only genius can create such a masterpeace.Respect for his brain :)

  • Sends shivers down my spine.. interlaced oh so perfectly with that monologue. I hope Ford makes another venture into the world of Film.. his first attempt was so close to perfection.

  • A perfect example of the major impact & importance music has in film... brilliant!!!

  • Just watched this film, 'A single man', where has it been hiding? What a find! My heart was so moved by it and it shows that we humans are not islands, we do need each other. I have now to add this ost to my list of music, it bowled me over. I cant seem to express how it got to me. I want everybody in the world to see it and listen with their hearts to the music, if it dont get to you then your dead inside. For Elliott my son, I love you. Dad x

  • Stunning. It makes me feel cold and shivery everytime I listen to it. It really does put me on the beach where they go swimming. Absolutely beautiful.

  • When something is really really good, wether it's music, film or silence, I always cry. This movie was fenomenal. When I only think about it I feel tears welling up.

  • My favorite part starts at 1:48

  • Absolutely incredible!

  • I could die with this music.

  • When my friends ask me why i only Listen to filmmusic and david Bowie, I send them a link to this masterpiece. And then they understand.

  • This has to be one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. I mean that in every sense. I cried while listening to this for the millionth time, and I haven't even seen the film yet! Gotta do that.

  • with in the mood for love, they are absolutely my favorate films ever!

  • If sadness ever had a voice, it's those violins.

  • A wonderful piece...inspirational & moving. It's up there with Philip Glass

  • beautiful both movie and music score.

  • sencillamente espectacular. no admite otra palabra ni otra definicion

  • I don’t know if it was the direction, the acting, the music or the story that fascinated me the most. Could be all that?????

Yes sometimes it can be all that. Talented people can do brilliant things and stand out to amaze you. Bravo!!!

  • Music can change your life iwth its beauty and it just did...

  • @Winduct I think we like to think that music can change our lives, but I don't think it lives long past the moment or past it's attachment to a memory. That's it, memory, I think music's most striking characteristic is it's ability to help us recall emotions we've experienced in the past.

  • Reminds me of the Fountain Soundtrack. Both soundtracks are godpieces, if there is such a word to describe them.

  • Simply a wonderful track for a wonderful movie, I can't stop listening at it...

  • I want to see this being played sooo badly. This is the culmination of the composer's life work. It's genius and only the a genius can appreciate it.

  • This really hit home soo close...Couldnt stop crying the whole movie.... absolutely amsterful

  • if I could say with words what this masterpiece says with tones.... This is a respond for pain (any kind of pain)....

  • brings me tears.... it really does.

  • this is some of the most heart-wrenching music since the fountain. bravo to this composer. i never heard of him and when i saw this movie i instantly thought 'clint mansell - the fountain'....this is why we have music..because there are absolutely NO words that can say what this piece is trying to tell us. ::sigh:: it's just sooo beautiful.

  • @katiecometrue Oh I completely concur with you. While watching the film, the music immediately reminded me of the beauty that is The Fountain. Both soundtracks are so heartbreakingly beautiful that they just take one's breath away. You are right - there are just are no words for such art.

  • so beautiful...and Isherwood: such a fantastic in my opinion underestimated author.

  • Brilliant movie and the soundtrack is pure beauty.

  • excelsior!!!

  • @renfieldvonklauss I saw it last night too. I agree!

  • The film is beautiful.

  • amazing music !

  • amazing!!!!!!!!

  • @bcabreiro in Polish:

    Geogre Falconer:

  • just amazing, no more words... absolutely amazing!

  • Brilliant

  • Ables Korzeniowski :) <3 THE BEST ever of classicall musick :) FIlm- Briliatn!!!!

  • fantastic

  • "and just like that it came" such a sad ending but it was a wonderful film and a wonderful musical score, i absolutely loved the movie, bravo to tom ford and everyone involved, bravo!

  • @ Bcabreiro: that was a spoiler, and even the film's biggest spoiler !!

However, this is an awesome score from a great movie.

  • speechless ... silent like sand ...

  • absolutely stunning

  • George Falconer: "A few times in my life I've had moments of absolute clarity, when for a few brief seconds the silence drowns out the noise and I can feel rather than think, and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh. I can never make these moments last. I cling to them, but like everything, they fade. I have lived my life on these moments. They pull me back to the present, and I realize that everything is exactly the way it was meant to be. "

    What a masterpiece!!!

  • @bcabreiro: nicely quoted, but it's actually "that everything is exactly the way it's meant to be". for me it's quite a difference.

  • @bcabreiro The last time I've been touched by this type of monologue was with Kevin Spacey's in American Beauty. Both of them are just gems.

  • @Srach American beauty was the first movie I saw twice in the cinema. I think you know why...

  • @bcabreiro

    Absolytely.

  • "And just like that, it came."
