But if it's done properly it shouldn't hurt that much.

DO NOT CLEAN IT WITH PEROXIDE OR ALCOHOL!! Because it dries it out and it WILL become really it hey and sore and it won't heal. It dries it out and make it easier of bacteria to get in and it will make it even more prone to bacteria! So ya stop cleaning it with that right away. It needs to have like non dryness to heal. Use salt water and hot water or go to the peircer and get a solution from them or use liquid dial antibacterial soap! Hope that helps but ya stop using peroxide right away!!!!

@FunFearlessFashion its harder to get it done if you have an outie! Usually it depends on the belly button, so their piercer will tell you when you get it pierced.
Hi!!! Loved your vid!!! I just got mine done last Friday. I have an innie outtie belly button and I thought I would be able to get a standard one like yours anyway, but my piercer said I shouldn't because over time it might push out and reject it, so she suggested I get the inverse piercing, which is like yours just on the bottom skin of your belly button. At first I didn't want or even like the idea of the inverse, but I decided to get it anyway and now I like it. :P

@girlfantasy1 yes it will leave a scar! After its healed you can, but not until then =)! Nope! You will be fine, no matter how thin you are =). And it took me about 7 months.

@uniquemindable they can, but its not super likely. it is more likely when you are growing, so I PERSONALLY would recommend waiting until you are dont the majority of your growing! I'd say a 3?

@MaddyFullOfMental It depends on how much bigger. the holes change and shift with your body - it could also be a sign of rejection. check with the piercer to be sure!

@DrAmAqUeEn14365 good luck with the piercing! its really exciting =). Its really not that bad - the pain is different, but just dont look at it and you'll be okay. Some places say that numbing is okay, and others say its unsafe. Personally I've heard of so many risks associated with numbing it that I would NEVER do it. the pain isn't bad and compared to the risks of numbing it, its nothing . good luck!

@breezchillin nope! showering was very simple and easy for me. no pain or anything =).
I used DIAL antibacterial soap (the foam kind). and yes, you move it up and down. It would be long to explain everything in detail - so take a peek at my belly button cleaning and care video - and i actually show you how to do it there =)
I had mine done yesterday, my heart was beating inside my head i was so scared, but it wasn't acctually that bad! I did say "holy mother of god" tho lol!

i got mine done at the end of last april, and i changed it after it had completely healed, that was at the end of september. after i changed it it still didn't have any discharge so i assumed it was fine, til one day an absolute shitload (excuse my language please!) burst out from between the 2 holes...like, it made a new hole in the middle of my piercing. that hole is still really sore and it regularly bleeds a little bit and it's not really healing. has this happened anyone else ever? :S
i am getting my belly button pierced on september 16th for my birthday is it worth th pain ? and the place i am going to is called motor city and they prefer that you have the plain belly button ring for the first few months but if u really want they will give you an option in what colour jewl u want inside it. should i go with what they sudjest or just do whatever and what are the chances for infection.. p.s. im sooo nervious!
its worth it. I barely thought it hurt =) take an advil before. Anticipation is way worse than the actual piercing. I have never heard of a studio that does not like having a jewel in it. Dont get a dangly barbells, but a jewel I cant see the issue with.
I'm not sure of the exact percentage that get infections but the piercer is required to say all the risks. Belly buttons are more likely to get infected than other piercings, but if you clean it 2 times a day, you should be good

Most belly barbells are made out of stainless steel, surgical steel or titanium. I buy all of mine from a kisok in the mall by my house. I believe most malls have them.
The ones from Claires or Ardenes dont bother me at all. But there are lots of places online, just look for ones made out of those 3 materials!
also im also still at skool and i have to wear a kilt and stockings since its winter... will it be effected by my skool uniform? also if my rents do find out... u got any good excuses?? :p

When I got mine pierced they used a ring, then when it was healed I change it into a "better looking" one. Hope that help ;)

@uniquemindable they can, but its not super likely. it is more likely when you are growing, so I PERSONALLY would recommend waiting until you are dont the majority of your growing! I'd say a 3?

@MaddyFullOfMental It depends on how much bigger. the holes change and shift with your body - it could also be a sign of rejection. check with the piercer to be sure!

I really want it done before school ends so I can be just like me sister! She's amazing and I cant get over the fact that I flipped over a shot and I'm afraid that it will feel just like a shot! @DrAmAqUeEn14365 good luck with the piercing! its really exciting =). Its really not that bad - the pain is different, but just dont look at it and you'll be okay. Some places say that numbing is okay, and others say its unsafe. Personally I've heard of so many risks associated with numbing it that I would NEVER do it. the pain isn't bad and compared to the risks of numbing it, its nothing . good luck!

Maybe till I was 14 or 15, because you have grown more, and the piercing usually heals better. the pain isn't bad, but if you are afraid of needles, you will probably get scared. just dont look and you'll be okay! you lie down usually for it, so just look at the ceiling !

@breezchillin nope! showering was very simple and easy for me. no pain or anything =).
I used DIAL antibacterial soap (the foam kind). and yes, you move it up and down. It would be long to explain everything in detail - so take a peek at my belly button cleaning and care video - and i actually show you how to do it there =)

I got mine done on the 7th of April this year and I didnt think it hurt, the thing is I worked myself up to much so I felt sort of dizzy after...Lol and my friend fainted so all attention was on her after :P But I still Haven't changed mine..all ive done is changed the top ball to a little gem and ive got a dangly one as well but im worried to change the bar in case it gets infected...If i went with titanium, the metal ive got in now, would it be OK cos mine is in gd condition? thanks xx

i got mine done at the end of last april, and i changed it after it had completely healed, that was at the end of september. after i changed it it still didn't have any discharge so i assumed it was fine, til one day an absolute shitload (excuse my language please!) burst out from between the 2 holes...like, it made a new hole in the middle of my piercing. that hole is still really sore and it regularly bleeds a little bit and it's not really healing. has this happened anyone else ever? :S

i am getting my belly button pierced on september 16th for my birthday is it worth th pain ? and the place i am going to is called motor city and they prefer that you have the plain belly button ring for the first few months but if u really want they will give you an option in what colour jewl u want inside it. should i go with what they sudjest or just do whatever and what are the chances for infection.. p.s. im sooo nervious!

its worth it. I barely thought it hurt =) take an advil before. Anticipation is way worse than the actual piercing. I have never heard of a studio that does not like having a jewel in it. Dont get a dangly barbells, but a jewel I cant see the issue with.
I'm not sure of the exact percentage that get infections but the piercer is required to say all the risks. Belly buttons are more likely to get infected than other piercings, but if you clean it 2 times a day, you should be good

Most belly barbells are made out of stainless steel, surgical steel or titanium. I buy all of mine from a kisok in the mall by my house. I believe most malls have them.
The ones from Claires or Ardenes dont bother me at all. But there are lots of places online, just look for ones made out of those 3 materials!

anticipation is the worst. i was nervous before and freaking out, but its not bad at all! dont worry =) just wear loose pants (prefferally sweats) =D
