Gawd, his loooong fingers cover her whole face.. Loved Gary Cooper on everything he did, but only remember him on High Moon the most..also Ms Neal on Hud, with another hotty, Paul Newman! Lucky girl.. :)
when he is first lying back on the chair when she comes in the room his chest rises up and down quite noticeably, like he is nervous/very attracted to her IMO
Why is Roark and Dominique seem so old in this play if in the book their like 26 and 24 the play is good but the characters don't fit the role.....LOVE THE BOOK
i read the book and i couldnt understand it. both rourke and dominique seemed phychotic and bent on destroying each other. you dont get to do all they did in real life and get away with it.
When someone earns your true love, you have no pride. You will do anything for that person, if that person is worthy of your love. Not many will ever have this as not many are brave enough to show their true self fully. The electricity between these 2 charactors is brilliant!
@myintzu09 I believe it is not wrong to love like that, it is truely special. But the person must earn your love through a deep respect. I have been with my wonderful husband for 38 years & I can honestly say that I love him more now than ever. Over the years we have had our bad times as well as good....now it is really fantastic! He earned my complete trust & adoration by being the wonderful person he is, with good values & by treating me so well.
@TheGladeGirl ... thank u honey ... now i have energy n strength to love him till end of my life .... he s not beside me almost all the time cuz he s working ... but i m thinking abt him 24/7 no jk .... he might nt knw ... anyway .. i believe tht God s fair ... i promise u ... if we marry one day u r the first person invited list .. :)
@myintzu09 You are welcome. We all need to work in one way or another. I respect people who work hard, my dear man works hard & long hours. I also work hard, that adds to our happiness...then you don't go crazy thinking of your other half constantly. Be productive with your time & then when you are together it is even better as you have more to talk about & share with each other. Wishing you many happy times. xo
One of the screen's most beautiful ladies ever, with her velvet voice and presence... my desktop will showcase her famous photo from "The Fountainhead" for the next month...I loved her and I will miss her...one of the last greats from Hollywood's Golden Era.....RIP ....Patrica Neal will always live on forever on the screen....Love her...RIP lovely lady.......

God bless Patricia Neal, but you have to admit this movie is hilarious/painful to watch. Neal shows up in a weird sexy Mrs. Santa Claus outfit and begs Gary Cooper to marry her. She wasn't kidding about the without dignity comment.
In this movie, her character is pathetic and without a shred of pride. By the way,
Gary Cooper was probably old enough to be her grandfather. I know some people love this scene, but I think it's so laughable. However, I loved Patricia Neal in everything.
@ladylike1980— Gary Cooper was about 25 years older than Patricia Neal. Outside of Appalachia, that's far from old enough to be her grandfather.
But, in his late 40s, he was plainly too old to play Roark. And Rand wanted Greta Garbo for Dominque, though Garbo was in her mid-40s, and plainly too old for that rôle.
As I remarked to my girlfriend the other day, in some respects Rand seemed to be stuck in the Hollywood of the late '20s.
Ow how glorious :D Every moment is dynamic in this film, from the knock at the door to the moment where he sweeps her into his arms. Spacial poetry, all of life is like this, even the chaos when you stop to watch. This film is like a magnifying glass to the dance steps of the man made world.
@LukeStarr69 when was that?I was lucky to have been aquainted with her for over 30 yrs..gave her a big mothers day kiss this year..and luckily saw her 4 days before she passed away here on the vineyard
@PeterFirthFan So how is that hope and change working out for you ? Do we have a better country now that we have an empty suit for a president ? Also, if you think health care is expensive now, just wait till its free !

RIP Ms. Neal. Too bad Hollywood doesn't make them like this anymore. No computer graphics...pure story. A screen legend who will be missed.
