The folks at Disney were very proud of this scene, and rightly so. Before the movie was released, the weekly TV show "Disneyland" showed a brief commercial for it at the end of every show, taken from this scene. I never got tired of seeing Aurora put her head on Philip's shoulder. Now I've replayed this video many times, and I never get tired of it.

everywhere has trained singers, it just depends on the time when it was sung and what style. they have opera-like voices because thats how they were trained and thats what they wanted at the time when they made the movie.

i dont think Mary Costa had an old singing voice. she sounds young. its just such a dramatic difference from her speaking voice from her singing because they wanted the princesses to sound "innocent" if her voice sounded 16 when she talked, her singing voice wouldnt sound so old

yeah i liked it, the German Aurora doesnt sound old, she just sounds the right age, since Aurora is supposed to be turning 16

and she was 29 when she was in it. so at the time she was actually pretty young. its just because she has a highpitched speaking voice and a lower pitched singing voice, but i checked all the Aurora dubs, they all have an extreamly similar voice the the English Aurora, thats how they ment it to be
