  • What's the song at 4:20? Please !!!

  • @guiguir68 It is from the naruto anime, it is called Sadness and Sorrow

  • nice pictures and nice music.

shame the image transition wasn't slower to match the mood tho'.

Also I didn't like the colour saturation at the end - It ruined a beautiful building!

  • in 1920 this was scifi wtf a kind of spaceship... a gate to the new era of hitech imagine been in that era of titanic and cars fast as a scooter,, then gonna inside that build and feels like 2001 aso, bladerunner, minority report.. imagine how strong it has to be for those minds..

  • so good

  • Hermosa Villa Savoye.

    Hermosa musica... de quien es?

    Gracias

  • @Ptrsr in the end linkin park

  • @Santaarnpaal Dankjewel!

  • I remember that I rendered this building by using some program. I like the motivation and the way it looks. It looks very fancy. But I cannot smell humans' lives inside. This building seems to has a meaning for just itself not for human.

  • Everything's great. Just hope you could show more details. I'm really interested in this building : )

  • the security camera is provocative.

  • Prachtig

  • @nujij10 Dank je!

  • nice instrumential music and very intreresting. 1929

FELICIDADES ! / What you are doing, naturally must touch the heart of people. You are making constant simbiosys betwen two best forms of Art created by the Man: MUSIC and ARCHITECTURE at the same time. CONGRATULATIONS !!

  • @arqos44 Thank you! It feels like poetry.

  • its actually made out of brick.

  • About the music: I actively dislike Linkin Park generally, including the full-band performance of this song.

But the piano version here is lovely, while perfectly expressing the joylessness of LeC's concrete box.

  • @50srefugee: "Comment removed".

Huh. Apparently Corbusier is sacred and may not be criticized. Wow.

  • he was just an amazing architekt a minimalistic pioneer

  • pfff the linkin park background rules the whole thing

  • i hope you mean RUINS >:[

  • yeah, it ruins the video, my keyboard betrayed me...

  • just imagine le corb dancing to this song...its absurd!

  • everythings great. the music: linkin park played on the piano

  • if you wanna see some modern architecture like that in cinema i suggest you some Ernst Lubitsch's movie like "design for life" (1933) or "Ninotchka" (1939)

  • the building is great, music sux.

  • The music beautifully expresses the joyless sterility of the architecture.

Yes, I hate the building but love the music.

  • I´m architect however I agree with you...Large buildings are the worst nightmare of our cities. Btw I like Ville Savoye

  • I get what you mean about the building. How we interpret architecture is entirely subjective and there is no right and wrong, only like and dislike. I think though, that one has to look at what else was being built at the time to appreciate why this building is so radical. It is lacking in intricacy but that is why the distillation of light and form is so beautiful.

  • Beautiful video! And loved the music too, what music is it?

  • It seems to be the piano version from numb by linkin park .

  • It seems to be the piano version from in the end by linkin park .

  • thanks!

  • thanks a lot for the video, the music is terrible though...

  • this is Linkin Park's In the End!!!!! A great rendition for a great building!!!

  • On an intellectual I understand why Corbusier is so important .. he, more than anyone, stripped architecture of its elitism and brought it to the people .... however for sheer poetry of architecture there is no greater genius than that of FLWs.

  • this doesn't exactly enrich life.

  • ya know it looks as if it was built last year its timeless

  • Probably cos everybody's been ripping it off for 80 years.

  • ...and cos people are constantly repainting it all year round.

  • id live in it if its heated in the winter an there was partial ac in the summer!!!

  • shame the music

  • GREAT VIDEO... tnx to author... really helped me a lot to finally understand Le Corbusier's Style..

He is a god in architectire

  • i love le corbusier

  • It´s cold cause nobody live here. Today the house is like a museum. But its a masterpiece, a house that teach the world about light, about enviroment, about windows and structures. Wright and Mies are kids, go(o)d kids. Corbusier are a man, a bad man that makes best things.

  • cool video, shame about the music :p

  • great video! congratulations to the person who took the images for trying to capture every detail.

  • thanks !

(I don't know much english, sorry ^^U)

  • Thanks !

  • looks great, but feels such a cold place, not very pleasant to live in, maybe because of all that white

  • Prefer Wright´s and Mies´s work

  • Still, if it gets chilly there's enough room to run around in!

  • Timeless design, now and in eighty years. Great work from Corbusier! And a video for enjoying. Thanks! What piece of music ist it?

  • I'm a mechanical engineer, but to come face to face with this masterpiece almost brought tears to my eyes: It's that magnificent. Altough it feels like a 60s home, looking at the hardware is shocking: That's what makes you realize it was built 80 years ago. Cozy, however, it's definitely not. Mme. Savoye was right: I am certain it must be unlivable. However, Le Corbusier was right too, when he told her instead of trying to live in it, she should have shown it. I'm glad it's been preserved.

  • buen video, grandes fotos, GRAN OBRA

  • absolutly amazing!

i would love to visit Villa Savoye for real, it's my dream!

    ciao. xx

  • @KELLIEmaz : I have done it and it worth the effort.

  • I am very happy to see this video. I hope one day I am fortunate enough to see Villa Savoye in person.

  • Which perfectly reveal space with simplicity. Space is luxury, I like super flat construction with lots of space.

  • There is no luxury in La Villa Savoye. It, like his other works, is a "machine for living." Its every form has a defined function. Luxury is not only defined but the "amount of something" but its qaulity. A good design's space must also evoke emotions and feelings.

  • ooh...i loved it!

  • Beautiful restoration job looks better than when it was first built

  • What can I say? Thanks for sharing this video. And thanks dear Charles-Edouard for your legacy. Surely the most beautiful house in the world. Thanks God for bring us a man like Corbusier.

No matter for the music in the video, it's right, contemporary and the sound is good.

    Regards fron Ecuador, SouthAmerica.

  • Magnificent. Now we know who invented minimalism...

  • Le Corbusier was amazing!! It's sad to think about the tragedy that occured with Villa Savoye

  • Ultimatetrav, what ocurred with villa sovaye?

  • nothing.

  • It was occupied by Nazi troops during WWII and subsequently damaged.

  • it was restored

  • thank you very much for posting this !

  • Hi

Could you tell me the name of the album that the music playing is taken from?? - sounds like Linkin Park.

    Thanks

  • You're right. It's an instrumental version of the song 'In the End' of Linkin Park, from the album 'Hybrid Theory'.

    Greetz
