  • what song is this?

  • check out my locs product review...... by justlocit

  • Can regular table salt be used?

  • @BlaQWuhMyn: They say its best to use just sea salt... More natural.

  • looooove the song... your hair looks great too :-)

  • @lushlip2lip: Thank you :)

  • why do you add oil to the sea salt spray

  • @CTClife21: Yes add oil. The recipe is in the description.

  • @LeslieMoniqueTV what type of oil because im stuck

  • @mitchele90210: What ever you choose.

  • say i've been on my locking process for about 6months now. i started with two string twist. i currently have my dreads braided but i was wanting to know could i still use the seasalt spray and spray the braids

  • @MrStarbust: You should still be able to spay, just spray what you can. You just won't be able to spray all of your hair, but you will get the majority of it.

  • When you say oil like vegetable oil??

  • oh yeah got to get me some dreads, now is there a product that would make that possible for a balding white guy, LOL

  • @poojkhgf: Ummm, I don't know.

  • @LeslieMoniqueTV I was just kidding - maybe I could try horse manure but then I would have even less friends.

  • @poojkhgf: Yeah....

  • @poojkhgf If you don't like locs, that's your choice. Keep your negativity to yourself.

  • @jbscott612003 I love locks but I dont have enough hair, get a sense of humor why don't you

  • can i use regular salt lol

  • @mookiemisscutie684: I never tried it... But PrettiBoiShai, here on YouTube said that it has too much Sodium in regular Salt.... so just stick to sea salt.

  • do i have to redo this process everytime i apply it

  • @smileformykee: what do you mean?? What process?

  • appreciate the info its always helpfull should i not wash it until it starts to mat up or loc or once a month? what do you think id imagine doing the spray twice a day for a month would need a wash but once again thanx for the info around me in this area its scarce to come by cherio mate

  • @mranybodygetit: You can wash your hair normally. I usually wash every 1-3 weeks... So either way, it's gonna take effect whether you wash it or not. And you're welome!

  • you made a comment not to put sea salt on your locs until some time has gone by y is this? i have been free forming for about 2 months just recently twisted myself what do you advise my loc guro? and u said u stopped using this method after a couple months was their a reason other than it started locking? thanx im sure u hace much better things to do than answer questions cherio mate

  • @mranybodygetit: The whole purpose of the SEA SALT WATER SPRAY is to get your hair to loc up. That's what the sea salt does... It kinda dries our your hair, helping it loc. After it's locked, there's no purpose for it anymore... You'll be spraying just because....

So yeah and about your SEMI-freeforming (not freeforming)... What kind of advice do you need??? You twisted it... you good... just let it do it's thing... that's all I can say at this point.

  • aloes, and cassie is the fastest way to loc up. stuffs damn near instant locs

  • When You Do This Does your Hair Begin To Look Shorter Because It Is Locking ?

  • @jjmalik123: Not really, I guess since I'm used to seeing it everyday, I didn't notice too much besides it being more condensed.

  • wow! so the "after" pics were taken just a few weeks after you started using the spray? im excited :)

  • @JesusLovesDenise: Yeah, about a month or two, or three... I started using it in June stop using at the end of September. So are pictures from June - Septemember

  • i put used oil from my motorcycle LOL

  • @terioMALOLOS: That's not funny. That's just wrong.

  • @bookiedabandit: They've always been loose, I eventually cut them off, but I don't recommend that for you!

  • @LeslieMoniqueTV I did that too, dont make it a habit

  • @elrugged1: I didn't.

  • can u use the regular idolized salt or sea salt is a must?

  • @datriggacity: I think it would better to use the Sea salt cuz the sea salt doesn't have much sodium in it... At least from what I know.

  • @LeslieMoniqueTV ok thx i dint wanna fuck up my dreads with the wrong stuff

  • @datriggacity: I don't think anything bad would really happen if you used regular salt. The Sea Salt Water spray is optional for dreads.

  • @LeslieMoniqueTV ok ima try it

  • What's the water to sea salt mixture or ratio? How much sea salt?

  • @ibyl: It's in the description.

  • @LeslieMoniqueTV when you started your dreads did you wear something on your head at night?

Im just had to restart my dreads because they unravled{got wet} and my hair is exactly like yours they look like spirals, is there any thing to help them stop doing that?

  • @skootb2: I started FEB of '09, and I do and still wear a scarf on my head. And The only I can say that kept my hair together was interlocking, using the sea salt water spray, and wearing a scarf on my head.

  • @LeslieMoniqueTV Thanks For The Help! <3 lol

  • I just wanted to say thanks for the sea salt recipe.I've been loced 5 months and I've been using the spray for 2 weeks and I have seen a dramatic difference in my locs.I have a soft hair texture so I knew it might take a while to loc, but I believe the sea salt spray is accelerating my locing process.

  • @msdivamimi: You're welcome!!!! We both had a drastic change with our hair!!!

  • can u spray on baby locs to

  • @yjsdeed: You sure can! but don't start spraying right when you start your locs, you know? Let's not rush here!!! lol Give it a month or too.

  • @LeslieMoniqueTV now that my hair is a month and 2days old should i

  • @yjsdeed: Sure, try doing it. I sprayed around 4 months, but see how your hair reacts.

  • How often did you wash your hair when you was using the sea salt water? Im freeforning for a month to see if I like it. I plan on washing my hair like once every 2 weeks or once a week. Im in my 4 month and none of my locks are locked yet but some are getting there.

  • @GoGETTER2001: I washed it every two weeks. I dealt with the itchiness. I wasn't too worried about the scratching. But yeah you won't really rech locking until like 6-8 months. I started using this around 4 months, and mines wasn't locked either. Far from that. Hope this helps.

  • @GoGETTER2001 oh ok cool I can do every two weeks

  • @GoGETTER2001:YUP!

  • Can i still use this if I already twisted my hair with the jamaican mango & lime?? Oh and by the way you got some sexy ass lips!!

  • @avdboy: Heck yea. Just spray twice a day. And thanks!

  • what kinda oil do you put into the mix?

  • @GreenMonstrocity: hmm.... I don't remember, but any hair oil is good!

  • the seasalt makes ur hair lock faster but wat does it do exactly like how does it work does it produce more coiling cuz this lady was like when i go to the beach wash my hair immediately cuz the seasalt will turn my dreadz a funny color after long periods of time

    REPLY PLZ

  • @bustitwydeopen365: Nah... Actually swimming at the beach helps your hair... It helps mat up your hair so it would form a lock.. I remember when I 1st sprayed it, my hair was feeling dry and stuff, and I guess that's the sea salt doing to ur loc. But it doesn't change colors... My hair is still the same!!! lol.

  • @LeslieMoniqueTV lol well thats wat numerous ppl told me so i try to stay away i made couple of mistakes with my dreadin process imma spray one loc lol nd c crosses fingers nd toesssss

  • i finally got to check this video out! i got sum questions do i do this instead of moisturizing? and can i put natures shine moisturizing spray in the mix aswell?

  • @Joakimbrian1:Well put oil in the spray so that it will at least get some oil in there, cuz most likely, the sea salt will dry out your hair. So I would say use it instead of moisturizing it for now. that's what I did. And I would not put the shine in there, leave it by itself.

  • @LeslieMoniqueTV what kinda oil shuld i put in it?

  • @Joakimbrian1: I would say any oil, I guess. Or something that is moisturizng.

  • i dnt knw y but it mkes my hair puffy

  • fwemac: That's because your hair is thickening out. Your hair gets thicker during your loc journey.

  • i was wondering if you can use food oil, like virgin olive oil or something. or do y ou have to use hair oil`?

  • I would prefer to use hair oil because it's made for your hair.

  • @Odinthorsen only olive oil no other cookin oil jojoba oil nd essential oils r gd

  • i started mine last week and ive been doing this...and since this my 3rd time starting my locks..i can tell a difference in them already just after a week...i added vitamin e oil to my mix..put it in a spay bottle and do it likeu said..and its working..but ? when should i do that inital wash..i started my own wit the comb coils.

  • how many weeks did you use it for?

  • I believed I used it from Early June Until like August. I don't spray my hair with that anymore.

  • thanks hon. I live on an island so i'll try swimming couple times a week cause i'm afraid of the residue. was there much residue.

  • Well it was a lil itchy and dry, but i could just always wash it out, So i think you'll be good :)

  • hey i have another question. I have type 4b hair in most places on my head. its been twisted for a week and washed and rinsed alot. tried the salt water with lemon last night but my hair didn't seem to be affected by it..perhaps i didn;t use enough salt? Anyway, my roots and ends are pretty tight but the middle o alot of the twists are puffy in parts, are those bids? also, does it matter is the hair is twisted clockwise?

thanks for your help and advise.

  • @thegirlonline: did you use the recipe in the description? And also, you have to spray it repeatedly, for several weeks until you notice your hair locking. It would just immediately start locking. For me, I would spray, then weeks later I would feel the buds (which means the hair is locking). And honestly, I don't think it matter the way you twisted, but twist it in the usual way you would twist it.

  • DIVAAAAAAAAAAAAa... I'm 7 weeks into my loc journey and luv'n it. Can you please give me more info on the benefits of the sea salt and does it strip your hair of any essentials oils or anything?

  • @chamogul: Well it does dry your hair a little, but try to spray on the locks and not your scalp. and you can put oil on your hair after you spray salt water on it.

  • wats the name of this song and who is it by?

  • @knbriggs21: Shawnna Feat. Bobby Valentino and Ludacris - Take It Slow

  • Ur hair grown so fast nice to see it ! keep it up ! nice song !

  • Merci!!!!

  • your locs have thickened out alot...they lookin good...keep it up!

  • Well, those are just some old pics. But yea they did!

  • It is cute!!! I see change!!

I am about to use some now!!! [you are cute but your hair magnifies that!]

  • thank ya!

  • wow they look nice

  • I followed your istructions on how to make it from your last video. I been using it ever since. It seems like its helping, but I havent been using it that long. thanx for the vid.

  • cool... thanks. I've been using for about 2-3 months, and it seems like its working too.

  • hmmm i see, never tried it tho

  • this really helped my hair.

  • i did notice it put alot more nots in your hair & it got from straighter to frizzy so it definitely looks like it works

  • your hair is looking good!
