I have seen atleast two different types of tarantula's lurking around austin and, the lake travis (lago vista) area. I never see these things this big.The other day I saw a huge pitch black spider. I wonder what it was.

Allen Dean Texas A&M entomologist studied 250 specimens and identified 12 families of spiders.
It'd be nice to know what kind of webs these spiders make?
Are they all orb-weavers? looks more like funnel spiders' webs?
heavy rains have knocked down most of it, yet they continue to rebuild....will anyone actually document what happens?
