I'm glad your doing better now. I was 11 when my great grandmother passed away and I've always regretted not getting to know her better. We spent a lot of time together, but I would have loved to know more about when she was younger and what things were like for her as she grew up and got older.
Jim, Although I'm of a different generation (just turned 57) I can relate to everything that you've posted in this video. Many years have raced by since my husband's death, but it still seems as though he could return. I'm also facing health issues that make the future unsettling. One small precaution that I've taken, and that you might consider, is to wear a Medic Alert emblem. Take care.
Glad to see you again. Man a friend of mine called Ronnieboyr2dot on youtube just had a stroke and is a farmer and is having such a hard time. So glad to see your back. So sorry to hear about your stoke and blood presser. But could you take the time when you have it and see what kind of help he needs. Just words of wisdom. So glad to see you again. A old friend of yours pandoraDam
My prayers and thoughts are with you jimsan. You were my first video to watch and I truly enjoy every single one. I was so touched when you mentioned you missed your wife. Please know that you are a very special man.
Jim, good to see and hear from you again. Sorry to hear about your stroke. You appear to doing better. I see that you feel you are loosing some of your independence mainly that driving gives us all. You can always take a little journey, just fire up the radio and call CQ. 73 Randy
However, whatever happened is worrying. It's true though that we take things for granted all too much... Glad you liked our call. We will stay in touch, that's for sure. And whenever health permitting you are always welcome in our house on the Norht Sea coast (as is your daughter). Take care mate!
It is truly good to see you back on video. I missed your conversations with me. I say me, because it was like just you and me having a good talk together. I sent you an e-mail earlier because I was concerned about your health. It seems my fear was correct. Take care of yourself now and always so we can have many more good conversations.
So glad to see you again. I was concerned about you. I am sorry to hear that you are having some health problems. Although you certainly don't look under the weather in this video. In fact, you look fine!
Some free advice? Keep busy...distract, distract, distract,,,
You were my first subscription so that makes you my poster boy!
Take care...looking forward to seeing your next video....:)
I had wondered what had happened to you, but it didn't occur to me it was due a stroke and the passing out. Sorry to hear about you having to stop driving - hope it's just for a short period.
About grandparents: one of my regrets is not really getting to know them before they passed away. It wasn't easy as they were all abroad, but even so I wish I'd made more of an effort.
Great to hear from you again jimsan. I am so sorry to hear about your medical troubles but hope you feel 100% better soon. I love listening to your videos and hearing your stories and advice.
Greetings from the United States. I'm so sorry to hear of your recent ill health. You're one of my favorite video posters and I do enjoy listening to you! :) I wish nothing but the best for you, your daughter, friends and family. I hope you are back to posting many videos soon.
Take care of yourself. I know what you mean, I have had a full blown stroke myself and if you take care, you can recover to some exctent. But don't go around thinking what might? Just live your life.
thank you so much for posting again! thanks also for your advice. I am just 21 also, but i realize that time goes by so, so fast. every new year goes by faster than the last one.
i think it is a wise decision not to drive at the moment. I know it is difficult. Hope you will get used to it soon.
anyway, sorry for the ramble, but I appreciate all your videos so thank you for taking the time to speak out and share your life with the youtube community :)
once again, please keep making your videos. I can't help but watch this one over again... it truly opens up my eyes to life, and makes me see it in a bigger way. I'm only 21 yrs old, but I realize that at that age you take life for granted, and forget to cherish and appreciate the fact that this is our one and only shot.. and to make the best of it. I think what will help me in my old age will be first and foremost empathy, and then a sense of humor. and cheerful stoicism as well, I suppose.
I think you are an amazingly strong person, for being so positive and embracing life. I am sorry to hear about your stroke, but please don't let it get you down. I really enjoy all your videos, and I sincerely hope that I can have such a good outlook on life in my golden years. God bless.
cont... You are wise to speak about visting relatives/friends. I understand that all too well when I lost my Dad several years ago; the pain doesn't go away. Excellent advice for younger viewers.
You remind me of a regular pool player, and ex care worker at my local pub. G-d Bless you Jim, hope you're doing okay now 5 years odd onwards.
