The emphasis is on TEAM. SEALs are very low profile in private and public. No they do not get into lots of drunken fights. They are professionals. A SEAL will do anything in order to avoid dishonor to the TEAM. There are traditions which in no way are considered rituals. If I were you, I would contact, the Chief at Buds 131 and take his course. Now is a fine time of year !
That was Kick Ass! man!I know that SEALs have a way of doing things, but that hazing sure did look familiar. The pillow stuffing and maybe rubbed down with some lard, damn near happened to me.It took too long to get the other guy done, and there was a fresh water wash down that had to be carried out.The same guy got his laundry bag roped overboard and had to pull it up himself. That was one heavy fucking laundry bag,I guess it was,it looked heavy.Oh yeah U.S.S. Coronado 89-93.

what about Delta they say that is the toughest. The t.v. show the unit they show the training course and the Co tell the training class there job is to break them. and Delta only answer to the Presdient.
I know its a t.v. show But what is the toughest Military Training in the World? I use to be in 2 all of that .But know I rather sit on the beach or pool side in Vegas or any where and watch all the small Bikini's walk by and hav my drinks brought to me : )
I imagine there are many young men visiting this site who wish to complete BUD/s. I might be useful if some tips were shared to help those poor God fogotten former civilian pukes. E.G. toughen up feet by soaking in vinegar every night for four hours. Run in sand as much as possible. Toughen up hands for chin-ups and paddling. Get used to being cold and being sleep deprived. Learn the side stroke.
@electricslipper i feel awkward asking the recruiter this but do seals do dumb pranks and rituals to eachother like the soldiers do to eachother in the army and marines? it may be a dumb question but anything i ask will only help me prepare for whats necessary. also do they get into lots of drunken fights? ive already been through around shit like that before.
@electricslipper dude when i went to seal training that's i passed and yea i'd follow all those tips it helped me know they want me to go int sog training and im only 20
I was with the Naval Security Force Detachment assigned to NAS North Island from '88-'91.
Used to stand perimeter watches where the fence met the beach and watch the BUDS trainees run through ankle-deep sand with one of those damn rubber boats held over their heads.
Don - Awesome video and probably the best background song ever! Watching that slide show reminded me so much of that incredible time of my life too. Even though I didnt follow the SEAL path, my time in the Navy was the greatest adventure I experienced in my life. The excitement of a new duty station, new exotic places and people. These kids dont know what they are missing. It was a fantastic time to be young! By the way, I bought the album "Billion Dollar babies" at the Navy Exchange in 1977 :)
2:27 they look tired as hell. Amazing how fit and dedicated a seal has to be. =)
Thanks to all you who work hard for this country.
