I would recommend you to go to Bergen and take a Fjord cruise or something like that through the great fjords.

Rogaland is also nice for its fjords.

Bergen has everything of Norways history. Oslo is also interesting.

If you are planning to visit Norway i would not recommend Oslo. Its pretty much one of the ugliest cities in Norway. Visit Bergen, Kristiansand, or Stavanger during the summer , or pack a lot of warm clothes and visit the north part of Norway, during the winter, which in my opinion is the most beautiful part :)

Something you have to think about is that most visitors are used to REAL cities, and all of the flaws norwegians see as "big city problems" are very minor to them. Also there are a lot of beautiful places here like akershus festning, karl johans street, aker brew, frognerparken and the royal castle so I highly reccomend coming here a few days! Though, to see nature, you have to go other places! :)

If you plan to visit Norway:

Go in the middle of the summer or the winter. In between winter and summer its just nasty weather and not that pretty. If you go in the winter, definatly travel to the north, where you can see the northern lights. It will take your breath away, its a surreal experience. If you're kind of rich, and want an experice of a lifetime, rent a housecar, and drive from the south to the north, so can see everything. Or a good alternative is "Hurtigruten". Visit Norway!
