I think an awsome plot for the movie would be this: A company called "Ghosts Be Gone" buys out the Ghostbusters (and does a horrible job trying to be like the Ghostbusters), and the ghostbusters have split up. According to the Mayan calendar the world will end on December 21, 2012 and when the world flips upside down and Ghosts Be Gone quits when the pressure of the world is on their shoulders, and the Ghostbusters have to regroup and take out demons on Earth (including the Devil at the end)!

Thats true. They should definately be part of a new movie. But let's face it: they can't handle the action, a fan would expect toda. They could be the wise guys behind a new crew. But i don't think, they would be believable as action-stras today. Funny, yes. Cool, yes. Ghostbusters, yes. But Bill Murray fighting a ghost in Matrix-Style? No. Rambo, Rocky, Dirty-Harry are all handmade oldschool movies, they work without special FX. Also the Remakes do. But Ghostbusters today would'nt.

Stay Puft as a CGI effect would look totally stupid in a live action film , Slimer ahh 50/50 but mixing live action with some CG I can deal with but when you just make it with OHH we can do that with CG effects thats when lazy film making takes place in my eyes at least.

Just don't change them. Get the old group back together and with the right story it could work well. Everyone likes to rip into Stallone but he not only brought back Rocky and Rambo but he also brought them back with really good stories that you could believe would happen.

That was an excellent fan-made trailer for "Ghostbusters 3". I can easily imagine a scenario like that happening for the film and if it will be anything but intense. (I hope) I did want to verify that the original actors who played in Ghostbusters (Dan, Harold, Bill) have all signed up to be in the movie, with the exception that Signourney Weaver - as it was stated she was not interested in reprising her role. I hope that the original team will star in the final film.

Nope all wrong on this. The Original Ghost Busters have all gotten back to the script table and are in the works of making a 3rd film. I heard it on the radio 2 days ago. This could be there chance end it where there could be another set of sequels.

I just dont see why the ghosbusters cant be The Ghostbusters like Stallone as Rocky and Rambo. Or if Clint played Dirty Harry again you would not want to see anyone else trying to replace him. I feel the same way with The ghostbusters

Thats true. They should definately be part of a new movie. But let's face it: they can't handle the action, a fan would expect toda. They could be the wise guys behind a new crew. But i don't think, they would be believable as action-stras today. Funny, yes. Cool, yes. Ghostbusters, yes. But Bill Murray fighting a ghost in Matrix-Style? No. Rambo, Rocky, Dirty-Harry are all handmade oldschool movies, they work without special FX. Also the Remakes do. But Ghostbusters today would'nt.

It is true what you say, an just for me, they could do a movie just with the old Busters carryin proton packs and have fun. But you have to see, how hollywood does work today. Ramis & Co. had to pay it theirselves, no studio would give money for an oldschool-ghostbusters without newest CGI. I dont say that i like that fact. But it is a fact. Don't u think?

No I dont agree for the fact which is what I debate with If Murray and the rest of the cast said THIS is how we want to do it or else we aint gonna make it the studios would bow down at their feet.
Stay Puft as a CGI effect would look totally stupid in a live action film , Slimer ahh 50/50 but mixing live action with some CG I can deal with but when you just make it with OHH we can do that with CG effects thats when lazy film making takes place in my eyes at least.

Now Ghostbusters 3 will be here in 2012. The GB3 Imdb changed the release date. Production will began in the Fall of 2009 and Harold said that it takes a year to get everything set for filming which now will be in 2011 for a 2012 release.

Well I agree with you on that. I wish that GB3 will only be the Originals but they are getting older. I wish that Harold and Dan was writing the script now the office writers are rewriting the GB3 script that Harold and Dan wrote. Who ever they train will be good trainers and the Originals will be chasing ghosts to w/ the trainers. GB3 will still be a great movie to see in 2010 and I can't wait to see it!

Ghostbusters 3 is Happening in 2010. Dan said in an Interview a month ago that there all are in it including Bill Murray and they will train a new team to help them out. The Original GB's will be in GB3. They will be Training a new team to help them out and GB3 will be here in 2010. The Writers from the office will write a good GB3 script because they have the Original GB's in GB3 which is Awesome! Just don't change them. Get the old group back together and with the right story it could work well. Everyone likes to rip into Stallone but he not only brought back Rocky and Rambo but he also brought them back with really good stories that you could believe would happen.

That was an excellent fan-made trailer for "Ghostbusters 3". I can easily imagine a scenario like that happening for the film and if it will be anything but intense. (I hope) I did want to verify that the original actors who played in Ghostbusters (Dan, Harold, Bill) have all signed up to be in the movie, with the exception that Signourney Weaver - as it was stated she was not interested in reprising her role. I hope that the original team will star in the final film.

and what was so cool was he faded-in the ghostbusters theme, so i turned up the volume and got jiggy with it XD

Best thing is not to re-make Ghostbusters.We all love the 80s feel of this movie.Theres no actors now who could pull this off.Ive heard Jack Black ect may do a third movie but it wouldnt be right.Most movies now are to dependent on CGI.Lets let one of the best movies of all time rest.
