I've heard that childbirth is VERY painful without an epidural but some women choose to feel everything. An epidural is a shot to the spine in the lower back that numbs from the waist down.

You should embrace the fact that you are pregnant, for not many women are given the opportunity to experience this miraculous thing in life. Just think positively and you will be able to do it. If all those millions of women were able to do it before you, then why not you? Besides, it's just like getting your ears pierced - Yes it's painful at the time, but afterwards, once the pain is forgotten, all that's left is something beautiful. Enjoy being pregnant.
