  • There is something hauntingly beautiful about this song

  • It's a shame nobody writes song like these anymore...The likes of artist like the Platters are what we need these days to bring back the true meaning of music...

  • 31 people have no taste in music-they gave it thumbs down..c'mon down to the carolina coast anytime of year and you will hear this on the jukebox..

  • Everyone likes this type of music to be honest.. Lol You don't have t be old to appreciate it. We can still make a change in todays music, JUST STOP GIVING MONEY TO CORPORATE PUPPETS LIKE KE$HA!!! Haahahaha

  • i am only 18, but i am really impressed their stunning performances and beautiful voices!!! It's hard to find this type of artist now.....

  • Surely somebody can get together some singers, some songs and this whole sound again. About time they did after more than half a century. I'd pay good money to see it and I'll bet a lot of other folks would too.

  • Like this comment if you came here because you are from Cincinnati and wanted to hear the original version of the Skyline theme song

  • Does anybody remember this being the song for the twilight zone commercials in the 80's? I remember being about 4 and it freaking me out.

  • Class, melody, elegance, honor, love and charisma. You don't see that these days.

  • Nice song!

  • Beneath the Blue...My Love

    Each night...with You My Love

  • Such a voice...Tony Williams. No wonder we grew up believing in romance!

  • What a shame we don't have vocal groups like the platers. They are my favourite ones. I could spend hours listening to this music and being relaxed. It also makes me dream

  • These are the classics which transcends all borders, race and age. I'm Asian and I love these songs too.

  • This was one of my fathers favorite songs. RIP Daddy

  • Classic song!!!!!

  • this was my theme music when i was on the radio for my evening show

i did love songs from 6 to 9 pm on college radio

  • This was a great Year. Being born in 1958 made my life fantastic. Graduating in our bicentennial year is a memory I will remember thoughtfully. Like the music that this decade unfolded for even a baby. Thanks to this wonderful group.

  • not that old either, but these songs always come up and I sing to myself and just love these oldies

  • One of the benefits of age is the in the appreciation of the music from our early years (young ones today will feel the same in time). I wonder how many romances flourised listening to the Platters, how many marriges, how many offspring conceived ,how many angry words subduded by the wonder words and music of these great artists. PIR Tony..we will always listen

  • Why was this record recorded in France and the USA ?

  • Wow!

This video is worth a thousand words, It speaks for the platters and for their music. that we still enjoy today.

  • now you are takeing me way back to a anther time.

  • Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!

  • I wish I was born back then, cruising around with an impala, or a Fairlane...or a Challenger...

  • I was 4 years old in 1958. I remember hearing these great tunes on the radio.

  • Music! Rap/crap where has music gone?

  • kids today wouldn't know romantic times

  • ahh brings back memories

  • i may have never been born this time of year but i so love platters... im kinda an old soul... :)

  • @fprodrigues66

EXACTLY! OMFGG! SOMEONE WHO GETS IT!

  • @fprodrigues66 You are a wise man. These are treasures that will soon be lost like the treausres of the Greeks and the Romans.

  • @fprodrigues66 I second that. I find very little to get excited over someone like Stefani Germanotta.

  • @fprodrigues66 well said my friend

  • love it thank you

  • My Great Uncle is Peter Wynne! (My Grandfather's brother!) It is very exciting to hear some of his old recordings!!!

  • Very nostalgic. Wish I could go back to those days just for a few minutes. How did life get so reckless and crazy?

  • Great song, played at our prom years ago. Best song that they ever made to hold your girl close and dance the night away. Thanks for the memories!!!

  • i miss my baby i wish we can be together soon

  • God I wish the 50's were here even though I wasn't born until 66' great tunes and easy goin life ....well almost lol

  • amazing stuff

  • bravo

  • Their voices and perfect melodies are magical, and this song is timeless!

  • After so many years all these songs are still fresh in my mind. Nowadays we can never find such talents. Those were the days.

  • @dozjik I agree with you, this is back when people actually had respect for themselves and they didn't go out in public dressed in meat dresses or trash bags. There are so many people now dressing half naked, wearing no underwear, doing drugs, drinking insane amounts of alcohol and they think its cool, its not cool they really are doing nothing more than making fools out of themselves. Thats why I continue to go back to the past, people call me an old fart but I don't care times were better then

  • Couldn't have said it better myself! I refuse to listen to the trash of today--

    it's not even music..just TRASH.

  • @OnlyGeranium You are right about that, I am the same way I refuse to listen to todays rubbish, I find myself going back to the oldies but goodies time and time again because those times and that music was just magical.

  • @dozjik yes thats right 100%,it seems today if you are a corperate your in the box seat, brainwashing our childrens minds with garbage, clothes, phones, take away food, pills, images and more images to uphold, and not letting our children think for themselves, use their 2 hands to repair things, its all about corperates getting in quick and RAPING our minds& culture and growing up years of our children,They need to Burn in Hell for the last 3 decades,COOL DECEPTION,but you and i are not Fooled at all.

  • @dozjik one word: antidepressants

  • @dozjik it is a good era where good music was born. but man, that's harsh comment about the teens these days~ ouch!

  • @dozjik look for the bad in life and you'll find it. look for the good and it will be just as obvious.

  • @ddarkshark ..yes i agree...with you..but still i feel more strongly to what the bad side is about now.as i lived through the good side of life.

  • @dozjik I was born in these times. 1990. What we have now is purely a mix of everything ever created. The kids these days are the same as ever, enjoying a drink while having the conscious to enjoy others lives as well. Some young people act upon their feelings of aggression, glassing each-other just as they observed in classic westerns. Some don't act lady-like. They latch on to clothing fads, create music deemed tasteless like rock n roll, while technology surpasses our road regulations. Gasp.

  • @dozjik Please don't lump us all in one group like that. Every generation, nationality and race has individuals that don't represent them very well. At least some of us can type properly, have a higher education and women are dominating the fields of chemistry, biology and are the majority in universities now. Our society is slowly becoming more accepting. The older generation always learns to hate on the younger for some reason I can't fathom; perhaps because they mirror their lost vitality.

  • @dozjik

I agree that there are many problems today in and outside of the music industry, however, there were problems back then as well. For instance, this song was released during the era of Jim Crow. Rather than condemning the present, it is perhaps more constructive to assess what progress has been made, what regressions have occured, and how can we move forward.

  • @dozjik ..... I say isn't progress fine ... remember only you laid the foundation to all this , drugs the sex the rock and roll as you say time of innocents was a time of legal prohibition that is hell you gave us all now the taboo is wrong U lean and learner that what you were told then and now claim . I say U feel and think as the song U are not listen to facts the truth this

bottom line is that the cotton panties were still the task not the heart

  • @dozjik - I agree with you. Kids now a days have to step back and need introspection. PEACE.

  • To grab this mp3 just go to everymp3rip doht cohm.

  • Great music!

  • pure class

  • pure class

  • If only todays idiots would put more emotion like this, instead of worrying about the person infront of them getting more millions than him........................or her.

  • picture it, on a frozen lake, after a full day of ice skating with you favorite girl, the moon comes up, we start a fire in the middle of the lake, 15 to 20 of us sitting around the fire, your arm around your girl, at least 5 of us brought our transistor radios all tuned to woflman jack, and this song comes on ,i gotta tell ya dude and dudettes, it don't get no better then that,

  • It doesn't get any better than this !

  • Why can not music be made like this again? Music of today just does not compare to these classics.

  • My favourite X-Files episode, "Killswitich" had this song in it. It was on a computer disk and when inserted into the hard drive of the computer an artificial intelligece (AI) tracks the computer that the disk is in and zaps it from a satellite. Awesome!

Also, the scene where Mulder and Scully are sitting in the car and Mulder put the disk in the CD player and Twilight Time plays and the car's lights blink in time with the song.

  • @belajadevotchka it was awesome episode indeed.

  • I love these old classic songs.
