  • Epic.

  • Well... I just shat myself because this song is so epic that it move mountains !!! And bowels ! Either way , I would buy groceries with this in the background

  • @oceanhunterjg Lol, TSFH has a song named "Moving Mountains."

  • My Favorite Moment is From 0:38 to the rest of the video :D

  • Awesome soundtrack. Nice work. What program / plugin was used?

  • This is ego booster music, I love it!

  • WHAT THE HELL-- Why isn't Zachary Quinto on that poster?!?! xD

  • @MAjYQSammi Because Karl Urban doesn't get enough screen time as McCoy. XD

  • @invaiderzen Hahaha!

  • @MAjYQSammi i think this is like the minor characters poster

  • @TheInspector3000 IDK, but I thought Scotty, Sulu, and Bones were pretty major players in the movie.

  • @MAjYQSammi they have one with kirk, spock, uhurau, and nero, but to be honest scotty was knida shoehorned into the story for obvious reasons.

  • @TheInspector3000 But I love Simon Pegg... :P

  • Choir missed a zeptosecond to be parallel with the band at 2:33, but this is just VOLUMINOUS in EPICNESS!! *Jaw dropped*

  • one word, Epic.

  • Phenomenal

  • For some reason it sounded more epic in the trailer. o.O

  • @doggieyo Then turn up the bass!:D

  • @doggieyo Of course it is! Whoever made that trailer was a genius! :D

  • speechless

  • let's become a fan of EPIC MUSIC in Facebook!

  • wow this is cool....................

  • epic tune

  • nice music...sad that wasnt on movie

  • It was used for the trailer.

  • For anyone who wants to download this track, just grab Youtube Downloader (or whatever the hell it's called nowadays) and save the .flv source file, then convert it to .mp3.

  • the easiest way is to download it with free studio manager

  • @crazyrabbits youtube downloader goes straight to mp4 and also has converter function. :P

  • @crazyrabbits or you could go onto video2mp3 . net and won't need to convert it :)

  • @crazyrabbits RealPlayer is a great free YouTube downloader.

  • is this song on itunes? cause i cant find it anywhere

  • Having audacity sometimes solves the problems of musical wanderlust such as this.

  • what?

  • google "audacity" and mp3 - you'll see.

Also you can inspect your cache from most browsers and presto - mp3 - quality might not be all that amazing but then again when considering - "that vs. nothing", that wins every time.

  • oh thanks man

  • The composers only do music for movie trailers and do not sell any of their music commercially

  • sadly no it is not. Two Steps From Hell doesn't have any of there music on itunes.

  • u can only buy off official star wars movie site :(

    or ebay second hand

  • @danielaung691 i think it is star trek not star wars

  • @bashirD sorry lol XD wrong one :P i ment star trek :D

  • You mean the Klingons on Rure Pente. Don't ask me why they wear the masks but we will probably find out in Star Trek XII.

  • Comment removed

  • @09kolmann They wear masks to hide their faces because in XII the main atagonists are the Klingons they want to keep it a secret

  • @gorn779757 ROFL......SCIFI FAN YOU FAIL!!!

  • no. the group tht does this song only uses them for tv and movies. and they dont sell there song to the public. so no itunes. its kinda lame.

  • Does anyone know where you can download this track or purchase it? I cannot find it anywhere!

  • Comment removed

  • It's not available for purchase accept from the people who made it.. you better have a huge budget movie ready to go with it!

  • This song wasn't by Two Steps from Hell. It is by Brian Tyler, who composed it for the mini series, "Children of Dune".

  • Actually this song is different since it's a remix.

Nick Phoenix made his version of War Begins by Brian Tyler. The two still sound different.

  • If i had a nickel....

  • Is is just me or does 1:53 through 2:05 sound like Clint Marshall's Requiem for a Dream?

  • Yeah. You're right. It does sound similar to Requiem.

  • I'm givin' her all she's got, Captain!

  • All she's got isn't good enough, what else ya got?

    Love that scene xD

  • All she's got anit good enough, what alse you got?

  • You always had a hard time finding your place in this world. You can settle for a less than ordinary life. Don't you feel like you were made for something better..... something special.

  • Was this music even in the movie? i can't remember if it was, or if this was just for the trailer.

  • It was in the trailer

  • It was in the movie.

  • Just the trailer. Which is a pity, because this music is really good. It would have fit in well.

  • This movie was so awesome. It reminded me why I like scifi and action adventure flicks. And it's topped off with witty humor and clever references to the TV series and movies! Definitely my pick for the top movie of the year.

  • Children of Dune - Brian Tyler ;P

  • I know! The composer used that heavily; however, I do admire the alterations he made to the score.

  • Maybe the best movie of the year!

  • Best Legendary Epic Movie of the Century!!!!

  • Best Legendary Epic Damn Good Movie In All WORLDS !!!

  • Best Legendary Epic Action Pack Maximum Ultra Extreme To The Square Root Power Juicy Couture Hardcore Ultimate Jean Claude Goddamn Van Damme Most Excellent Movie In The Whole Universe!!!!!

  • EPIC WIN !!!

  • Space...The final frontier...these are the voyages of the star ship Enterprise.

  • in my opinion one of the top movies of this year.

  • I have to agree i didnt like star trek and watching this film was the last thing on my mind, but when i saw it i was blown away, i recommendd everyone to watch it!

  • @icesreaaams Not just an opinion, a FACT! :D

  • @icesreaaams In my opinion one of the best songs of this generation.

  • No matter how much I listen to this song, it never gets old

  • What a film, plenty to occupy a newcomer and plenty to give us trekkies a huge grin, like prime spocks greeting, and I can't be the only one who felt goosebumps when you heard Nimoy go "Space..... the final frontier...."

  • i had goosebumps too....

  • /agree 100^2x over.

Ive seen TONS of movies, know almost all companies who make this sort of music.. That movie and this song, by far, the best I have seen in my years of existance.

  • Comment removed

  • I'll be frank, I never thought much of star treck. But this movie single handedly changed my opinion. I LOVE this movie

  • Totally agree (:

  • i agree too

  • Let's all focus on what this is all really about, how awesome the movie was.

Jesus Christ. My jaw is locked in a gaping position.

  • I watch alot of movies and i rarely think a movie is fucking great. But this movie was beyond fucking great. I loved it

  • ...Comments aren't the greatest thing in the world, especially on youtube ^_^ And here I am contributing, how... ironic?

  • lmfao i love this.

and honestly 'u guys are gay for listening to them' what the hell were you doing :S. twat

  • it´s kind of different from the trailer, wonder i original music can be found

  • the music in the trailer was a mix of this song and "Freedom Fighters" by the same group. The only part of this song that was featured was from 0:38 to 1:40...roughly.

  • I like this zip! It's exciting!

  • Look guys, someone made an insulting comment on the internet! Lets act like what he said ACTUAULLY MEANS SOMETHING....

    Or..Not...

  • if there so gay Edwin5467 then why did you even search for the songs in the first place?

  • ok shut the fuck up dude some of us liek this

  • look who has no life :O. you search for the song and tell the ppl that listen to it are gay. go eat urself

  • anyone know when a soundtrack comes out?

  • Comment removed

  • The soundtrack for Star Trek has been out for awhile. I don't know if this song is on it, though, sorry.

  • I don't think it would be. TSFH don't make their stuff available on cds. Which sucks, they could make like billions! They're geniuses!

  • Yeah, I think this type of music would be a lot more popular than people realize.

  • whats the name of the song when they engage that enormous romoules ship ?

  • Romulans my friend.... ;) Fuck I sound like a right Trekkie....ha ha.

  • This song is just so cool!

One of the most epic I've ever heard. :D

  • never mind, i think i found the one i was thinking of :)

    watch?v=xgkMGGyacSg&feature=related

  • doesn't sound quite like the trailer, far more timpani in this, the other was more bass-y

and im thinking trailer 3 btw....

  • The song in the trailer was slightly edited to give it more bass and was made slightly faster.

  • I love u man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If u wanna download it- PM me.

  • EPIC!

  • it doesnt sound as powerful as it does in the trailer. if anything the children of dunes version is closer to the trailer one then this

  • i find that they never do with out the sound effects n stuff, but also when the record them for soundtracks they are also not as good either,

  • not even clost to children of dune musically.

  • can u plz make a link so we can download it plz?

  • Can you post a link so we can download this please? :)

  • zamzar(dot)com

  • This song does hold many similarities to the Children of Dune song you are talking about, but has some differences.

I have to admit they're pretty close, though!

  • This music was origionally for the children of dune series

  • When the song is addressed as "custom" music, does that mean this was made for the Star trek Trailer or something else?

  • "Custom" generally means that it was made just for the trailer. Now in truth this is not COMPLETELY custom. It IS a rearrangement of "War Begins", but was specifically rearranged for the Star Trek trailer.

  • This is a variation of the track "war begins", from the movie "children of dune". Look it up. You got Owned. :)

  • i figured that out

  • YO MATE! Have you got the new trailer music? for the third trailer? That is an amazing track right there.

  • And of course there's more another differences between the two versions of the song, so that is not an accident that they call it a "custom" trailer music.

  • Damn.. it's missing the deep drum beat that should happen right at 1:04 of this video, which happens in the trailer.. making it sound more epic. Makes me want to find a drum sound of one of those drums they use and edit it in. Unless there's already a version out there that has that extra drum sound...?

  • im gonna go watch the trailer and see..brb

  • No it isn't, they've added cinematic booms to the trailer song, common technique used in all trailers.

  • If you listen carefully, there's an extra deep-drum sample added to give it that extra effect.

  • This is not exactly that version of the song that appears in the trailer. This is a choir version of the song, but in the trailer, there's a no-choir version of it and yes, there's a difference IN the drums and the precussion between the two songs. Also there's a difference at the end of the song, if you listen to it carefully, at the second half (!) of the finale (2:36) the trailer version is longer with a beat than eight (which is the normal is 4/4). :) And of course, there's no choir vocals.

  • Thank you salamander462, for backing me up on this. =)

I just wish they had the exact trailer version as well. It sounds a lot more epic with the extra deep-drums.

  • awesome
