1 gripe. I dont think there was a big push for slavery in Texas because the climate didnt permit the large scale plantations you see elsewhere in the south.
Parts of Texas do have a climate very similar to the South. But slavery and religious freedom were important issues. Not my words, just what I've read in the history books.
Most history books are very general in assessing the south as going into detail for each state would take to long. Since texas didnt play a large part in the civil war (relative to other states) it's main reasons for joining the confed. are mostly overlooked.

And the fact that you said Bush lowered unemployment is laughable. He inherited around a 4.2 unemployment rate. His first month in office it jumped to around 6.3 (which we can't really attribute to him) but it never reached the point he inherited again his entire 8 years as president.

1) Though may of the patriots who fought at the Alamo were American, they were not fighting for America at all.
2) Most of the "volunteers" who fought on the side of the "Texians" did so because they were offered generous land grants depending on the length of their service.
3) A major cause of the war was SLAVERY, which Mexico outlawed.
4) Many Mexicans had their ancestral homesteads stolen by the new Republic and resold to whites.

Most history books are very general in assessing the south as going into detail for each state would take to long. Since texas didnt play a large part in the civil war (relative to other states) it's main reasons for joining the confed. are mostly overlooked.

These people don't give a damn about government spending they jsut can't stand the fact that we have a black president now. If they did care about the debt they would have been out there protesting when bush was spending away for no reason. Obama is using the tried and true method of Tax and Spend to get us out of the recession, and guess what? Its already started working.

which planet you from? before bailouts, unemployment was 4.7 percent. after housing, 7. after obama bails, 10. im sure your refering to the new deal, but the problem is we were still poor until we our country became a war factory to stop the nazis. now, consider that reagan inherited 10 percent unemployment to begin with, and cut all taxes. after two years, and throughout clinton and most of second bush, unemployment dropped. and obamas already increased the defecit double of what bush did.

Yes in the course of 7 months Obama has managed to drive unemployment up 6%, which is all a part of our master plan to ruin capitalism. And the fact that you said Bush lowered unemployment is laughable. He inherited around a 4.2 unemployment rate. His first month in office it jumped to around 6.3 (which we can't really attribute to him) but it never reached the point he inherited again his entire 8 years as president.

okay, so we bashed one president that conservatives weren't happy about either. my bad. now, consider, worst it got was 6.3, not his fault, 9/11. went down to 4.7 before bailouts. That means we were half a percent from when his presidency began. and if you listen to the video, beck is bashing all parties for spending. so no hypocrisy. considering the big spending, however, has only lead to more unemployment, on both sides, one has to wonder; is taxing and spending really working out for ya?

Um, ya it is. The reccession has already started to slow down as a result of tax and spend. And no, it got worse then 6.3 that was just what it jumped to when he took office. And you cant say there isn't hipocrasy when it is so blatantly obbvious. These people don't care about the debt, other wise they would have been out there against bush, but they werent. They can't stand the fact that a black guy is president, and it is completely disgusting.

its so blatantly obvious that people are racist? well, mister race card, we don't see eye to eye. If there's a reason for people being this angry, its because the government, republican and liberal, is being blatant about this increase in the debt. its the straw breaking the camels back. they're protesting because after 8 years of bush, they want a change for the better. they would be protesting whether he was white, female, hispanic, or asian. and its more than debt, its expanded gov control.

When before has there ever been such a false question of legitimacy as to whether a president was born here? If there is some other possible motivation please enlighten me because I am at a loss. And again, these people never once complain about Bush driving up the debt, why do they suddenly care so much? And please, tell me what Obama has done to exapand government control that is worse then Bush ignoring the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th amendments, federal war crimes act, and geneva convention?
