I don't know if someone has mentioned it, but this song is written by Wayne Kirkpatrick and he's an excellent song writer...he has his own version of it that is very different, but very nice....

@aucontraire1 They didn't really "break up" like some other bands do when they get disgruntled. I think they're just taking some time, experimenting w/ different types of music and other artists, like when they were in Mutual Admiration Society for a while (Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket). But I do wish they would record some new stuff together again soon.

@girlhabbogirl i met him at interlochen when he played solo with wyso, he said that the music wasn't challenging them anymore and that you need to be challenged to grow and stuff like that.

I think the song is about conflickting emotions in love one day you feel your on top of the world you are invicible and strong, but then there are days you fight and your mad at eachother that person may leave but you know even though your fighting you still love them and you are weak and vaunerable when they are gone. The only thing that will make you strong again is to have them there with you because you love them.

omg we used this song at the end of the play that we performed in the fall, right as the main character is mourning his dead friends and family and takes a gun and shoots himself...so sad and such a great song!!!

I think that might be trying to simulate the person's life "flashing before their eyes", perhaps? Now that the person's love is gone, that part of him is dying (or maybe the person is actually dying)- as the person (or part of that person) dies, they see that life flashing before their eyes.
