And yet so many dogs have lived to be quite healthy, active, etc for years and years. Dogs for years have lived on grocery store dog food and lived to be well into their teens with no problems. Two of my three dogs, one large breed, the other a rescued puppy mill mama that was 10 when we got her, lived to be 14 and were quite healthy on Purina. The other had to be put down at 8, but that had nothing to do with the food. My fourth one eats Eukanuba Naturally Wild.

Well you never know how healthy your dog can be when you switch it to a good food. My dog was considered healthy on pedigree healthy maturity, but I noticed a dramatic improvment in energy levels and coat when I switched him to holistic dog food.

this brand of dog food is so bad it is preserved with bht and it has no real meat only by products and has no vegetabels not including corn and soy which is bad for dogs. dont buy this brand or pedigree. puppy dog and senior dog chow, bil jac, iams , eukanuba or nutro they are all bad. blue buffalo and natural balance are the best.
