Absolutely awesome. Literally. Thanks for the reveal; I'll be repeating and emulating for future reference. I can't get enough of polyrhythms at the minute, and its showing in my own productions (even the progressive house I make). \m/ Keep up the good work.
In dehuminization it doesnt even look like your hitting anything else but the low F. either im blind or u were just chugging that thing the whole time?
All the people saying the guitar isn't loud enough need to go back and listen to the track and then listen here again - your guitar is quite distinct to me. :)
If you can play dehumanization, I think you could probably play bleed, it's pretty similar just gotta build up the arm strength to keep it up through the whole song lol.
It depends on what skill level your already at and how much you practice. If you play an hour a day i would take ages but if you played like 3 hours a day really focus no messin around, then you'll play this in a week or two.
dude you are awesome! you we're so in the pocket there i couldn't even hear the difference between your guitar and the track until you made a mistake.
also, these are my favorite tracks off of catch 33,i could just listen to them over and over...and often do! :)
let me tell you man those three song's are a fucking orgasm, personae non gratae, is about to cum, then dehumanization i bust all over, then sum i'm finishing up it all and, god it sounds like fucking heaven, anyway man you are a great guitar player, i would really love to get those tabs somehow, nice one man
Very good job. In my opinion, the best part on the album is Sum 01:01 and further. I have never heard a better ending of an album. Nice job once again!
I just love the switch to the riff that sounds like shed at 05:07 it's so fucking twisted, that and the outro that starts at 06:00 and of course the brainmelting riff at 04:05 I think, is life at it's greatest.
i don't give a flying rat's ass about your opinion erikishere and lachine, sorry if it sounded like i was trying to be a dick, i didn't get the sarcasm (seriously!reading it with sarcasm in mind makes much more sense), so sorry about that :) about the volume thing, i think it's ok, you think you don't hear him but you do, it's pretty close to the original.
I really dont think it requires an explanation. Obviously I didnt have room to list all three songs, so I wrote in Personae - Sum as in 'Personae non gratae through sum'. Considering that I did this with other sections of Catch 33 it shouldnt be that hard to grasp.
Sorry man, but I don't believe that for one second. If you listen closely, at the beginning before the song starts, you play a note - which is obviously not as loud as the backtrack. No way can you "cut the original out" unless you miraculously acquired the separate studio tracks. What we're hearing is you playing on top of the Meshuggah album. And you did a great job btw. - but your guitar should be louder than the mix, so it's more distinguishable. Keep it up :) 5stars
Mmmhm, I cut the guitars with a severe EQ. So mostly bass and gutted guitars remain from the original track.
I think the guitar is low compared to the other C33 videos I did here, but meh, who cares. This is like 2 years old. Even then I didnt put much effort into the video, it was some ghetto old DVD cam I borrowed for a weekend.
Im not trying to pull wool over anyones eyes, I think you're just taking things a little too literal.

The reprise of Shed during Personae Non Gratae always gives me chills...
Then Sum hits like a power-punch to the temple. I imagine that if terror had a sound, it would resemble the climax in Sum.
Catch 33 might be the best metal album I've ever heard. It's tough to call...

Awesome vid, as usual.
I have a six string, tuned to B, and then I use a pitchshifter to bring it down three tones to F >:3

Iechine 4 years ago
and yet it said so in the video?
FierceDeity33 4 years ago

Iechine 4 years ago
it means that you wrote "personae non gratae
dehumanization
sum" in the video. and was aimed at your statement that you "had no idea" all three...

As I said, there's nothing "cut out" from the original - so don't claim there is!
And since your guitar is so low compared to the original, it's hard to even hear your guitar.
