I agree. My city just spent $55 million on an exercise/social center/aquatics park. Stupid. It costs over a thousand/year for a household to join. But there's many miles of paved bike trails, and numerous public parks with paved/unpaved trails. That could be good exercise. I really should be exercising more, and there's so many free nature preserves to walk through.
