@lowbirdlaundry hi, I probably just used a moisturiser. The white paint is stage paint, so stayed put. Using eyeshadow over the white paint made it extra smudge proof, however, without the white paint, it wouldn't have smudged anyway, unless you touch your face a lot. Hope you enjoy it. I'm going to do another one of these next week! A darker version
I have a few questions. First of all did you use a base on your skin before you put on the white paint? Also does using eye-shadow make it easier to smudge accidentally? I am planning to do this design for a party but I don't want it to look like a huge big smudge at the end of the night. This is a really good tutorial by the way.
@Kirschblabla It took me about an hour in total, figuring out what I wanted and where I wanted it and also which colours to use. I didn't draw this out first or test it first, I just went into it blind. It wasn't too long, but of course far longer than it would to do a normal look.
@PrimpPowderPout I'm really impressed. Especially the different colours around your eyes are perfect. Great! Only one hour! And I think I will be inspired by your look when I'm thinking about my Halloween-MakUp. :)
@kareeboop. Of course! Use whatever you have in your make-up bag! I'm always a fan of making do with what you have! Cream shadows would work well and powders as well...I used some powders in this...and if you dampen your eyeshadow brush first and then put it to the powder shadow you can create a paint...as all paints are made from pigments whcih were originally powder! I say go for it :D
@vierdiez Thank you for the feedback. I agree! I was thinking of doing a more scary one as this one was inspired by a fashion editorial shoot I did make-up on...
@PrimpPowderPout Thanks for the reply. In Mexico many people think Death will just show up, and take you to a long one way trip... if Death looked like you, I wouldn´t resist at all ha,ha,ha!!
Wonderful job describing how to create you art work. I work as an art teacher in NY and want to try to do this on my face for my students. Wish me luck!
@famousartist2010. That's fantastic! I have no doubt you'd be able to recreate this look or even make it better for your students. I started out as an artist...and then became a make-up artist much later. I use make-up as a way to paint...without being a starving artist :)
Very beautiful! We're can I find the white paint for the face?

Be careful!!! The nose must be black!!! If not, then it doesn´t look like a skull at all, it looks too friendly. Again, you´re cute ha,ha,ha.
