Patrik and Kaisa harmonize well on 'The Journey'. Patrik was and still is a fuckin beast of a front man! I'm not into his band Ruoska, but he sure knows how to take command of the stage. Check out some Ruoska video clips and even if you don't like their style of music, you'll probably agree that Patrik has great stage presence and his vocals are still fucking killer. Tomi is awesome on CD. No matter who's vocals you prefer, one thing is certain...Battlelore fucking rules!!!

I love how he screams his lungs out with the intro of the song and proceeds to start the song with clean vocals. Which he does brilliantly by the way dont get me wrong.
One of the best live performances this whole concert with battlelore. Not a huge fan of theirs but this is awesome <3
I enjoy battlelore very much. My only statement is this singer is a lot better then the new one, hes just so much mre charasmatic. Heck i guess even the songs as a whole are better! I hope they keep jamming though :)
@Indorin1 Late response, but just so you know the entire album is about LOTR. Don't know about their newer stuff though, but they sing about some dragon, Smaug perhaps, and about Khazad-Dhûm iirc. Awesome cake anyway.
Battlelore is just one of these old Finnish metal bands that just have to exist, they're not big enough to get much attention, but not small enough to ignore. I like it that way. Great shit, as they say.

What I mean is that reading and doing are two separate things, which is why it is popular to study Engineering as part time work experience and part time study. What I mean dude is that she teach you what you don't know. ;) You just gotta listen. And dreams don't just happen when you sleep dude, sometimes you are awake when they happen. ;) And that's the best dream, because it never ends. :D

@DarkLordNagash Personally I'm a realistic high shooter. I know shooting high is the only way to go, but understand the odds behind it are very small. So personally I think you have every right to try. because she is human too and she wants love and to settle down like everyone else, and chances are he won't be famous at all, and will probably have a face like a bucket of smashed crabs, which will leave people like you going "WTF!?!?!! HIM!?!?!" Unless you are him of course... :D
@DarkLordNagash But remember also, if a woman who is beautiful both inside and out comes along, and you could see being with her as just as great, whether she digs you or not, you drop that dream shit and you go for gold with her, because she is real, and she is there, and she sees you often and you know what she is really like. @Simlatio If somebody loves you for real, they won't lie. In a relationship, if she lies to you, she'll hurt herself, which most people try to avoid (instinct again). And she'll hurt you, which mean she doesn't love you, relation over, try again. That's how I see things after a few years in the business. And about your "aiming high" thing, that's also my kind of thing. the higher you go, the deeper you fall, but once you reached the ground you know where you are....

@Simlatio ... that's why I want to give it a try with a woman who's kind of older, lives a few thousand miles away and doesn't even know I listen to her music. Last time I "fell" (I love the going up and falling down metaphor XD), it took me some time to get up from the ground, but after every love story comes another one, which helped me to get up again. I guess that's what you meant when you said "not who I originally wanted".

I'm sorry, I love this song, but this is all just too goofy. Patrick with his ax (try not to put your eye out with that thing, son), playing dress up, overworking that cliche Cookie Monster voice of his (let her sing uninterupted, dumbass), and everyone crowded together on that dinky stage. And the song loses something without strings.
@JWRandall423 It might seem goofy, but have you tried doing it? It's more fun than you think, especially if you love to act and sing... and remember, they are singing about the J.R. Tolkien universe, they have to look and act the part, otherwise, it's just another band. Because of this, he interrupts because he for the most part sings as the orcs, uruks and humans, whereas she is primarily elves and humans, although she also shrieks a good goblin I think. Hope that explains a little for you.

Apparently it's an AWESOME live band too. The singer dude (sorry, I don't know his name yet D:) has one of the best live voices I've ever heard from what I see in this video - right up there with Warlord from Turisas!

Its Patrik Mennander, yes. He left Battlelore in late 2004 if i recall. By far their best male vocalist (in my opinion) :)
Patrik is the vocalist for the Finnish industrial metal band Ruoska.

One of the greatest metal songs that I`ve heard in my 30 years as a metalhead.
I like all of their songs, but this one is outstanding. The vocals fit perfect together and the guitars cut in like battle axes. Great songwriting.

@DarkLordNagash I'm pessimistic too man, in fact, I'm jaded, but I have been since I was a child, mostly because I am way too observant and think of people as scientific problems. :D Like for example, I don't think women are truly capable of loving men when they have children, because biologically they are designed to switch the prime biological care to their offspring. @Simlatio If somebody loves you for real, they won't lie. In a relationship, if she lies to you, she'll hurt herself, which most people try to avoid (instinct again). And she'll hurt you, which mean she doesn't love you, relation over, try again. That's how I see things after a few years in the business. And about your "aiming high" thing, that's also my kind of thing. the higher you go, the deeper you fall, but once you reached the ground you know where you are....

@Simlatio ... that's why I want to give it a try with a woman who's kind of older, lives a few thousand miles away and doesn't even know I listen to her music. Last time I "fell" (I love the going up and falling down metaphor XD), it took me some time to get up from the ground, but after every love story comes another one, which helped me to get up again. I guess that's what you meant when you said "not who I originally wanted".

But when you stick it out and find her man, even when the romance wears off, every time you look at her, you know no riches can make you feel so complete, and you'll wonder why Kaisa was so special. :D

I'm sorry, I love this song, but this is all just too goofy. @JWRandall423 It might seem goofy, but have you tried doing it? It's more fun than you think, especially if you love to act and sing... and remember, they are singing about the J.R. Tolkien universe, they have to look and act the part, otherwise, it's just another band. Because of this, he interrupts because he for the most part sings as the orcs, uruks and humans, whereas she is primarily elves and humans, although she also shrieks a good goblin I think. Hope that explains a little for you.

I'm just now getting into this band after it came up on my recommended videos today...MUST BUT ALL ALBUMS. This is truly sick (in a good way), I love it!
Apparently it's an AWESOME live band too. The singer dude (sorry, I don't know his name yet D:) has one of the best live voices I've ever heard from what I see in this video - right up there with Warlord from Turisas!
