DO NOT BUY A BRUCE FABRICATION EXHAUST!!! i bought an exhaust off them a year ago and the packing blew out of it after just going around the block, i sent it back and the never gave me a refund, call the guy and he said i was a liar and i was never gonna get any money from him, i took him to court and am still trying to get my money back...long story short DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BRUCE FABRICATION
no...they make slip ons of all types. Shouldnt throw the FI code. Although Ive had 2 gixer 750s and both eventually got an FI code for needing to adjust exhaust actuator. One with stock exhaust and one w/ my yoshi. Where I live it gets hot, so when it starts warming up and cooling down at night, the cables locknuts can move around a little. Its pretty normal around here.
Man I love this pipe...I have the same one on my k6 600 but it's blue...what state do you live in? I was hoping to be the only one in IL with a Bruce for a while...lol.

Does the bike throw an error code without the catalyst?

Yes it does, the cat is part of the stock exhaust, the whole stock piece (which weighs a boat load) is taken off and this is slipped on. Easy!
