They are pretty much the same, most nelson pups will have it around the barrel like Trracers o Phantoms and Sniper based pumps usually have them under the barrel. I have a Phantom and a Sniper beside me and use them both. The only advantage an under barrel kit has is that you can grip it around the front a kind of slap it otherwise not a big difference. Hope that helps.

k i play speedball and semi but that video really shows how awesome paintball is and made me want to buy a pumpgun and i like how they say anyone can play because its true and another true thing is pump players are so accurate will all there shots like they can shoot across the field nd hit exactly what there aiming for

It could be the fun of putting yourself at a disadvantage and still doing well, or maybe it's the looks my friends and I get when we go on the field at the local place.  I love both though, as long as it's paintball!

@TaLeNTSNiipEZ A good pump? to start off cheap, go with a Trilogy autococker and get a pump kit for it. Or you could search around for a Sniper.

Also with a 50/45, you'll never have to refill, for like a month, lol. I have a 68/3000 that will last me two solid days.

Is it your first pump, and do you already have a semi? If so, get the Azodin Kaos pump because you just slap on your tank if you already have one, and any hopper. If you don't have one, go on paintball gateway and get the $190 Azodin Kaos pump package with a pocket hopper and a 13/3000 tank.

yes, the ACI Maverik is a great begginer pump. Very simple design, durable an reliable. It may be old, but that's the way to go.

If you can get one, I highly reccomend picking one up.

wow... its proven that closed bolt pump guns are way more accurate than an electronic gun. plus its common sense. and i use an electro 90% of the time. a bolt hitting a paintball doesnt help it at all. it hinders it.

Dude its not the accuracy of the gun.

Its how when you use a pump gun your are learning how to shoot one ball, and shoot it accurately.

With a electric gun, your shooting like 15 bps.

it depends on which style of gun you like. if you like turtle (half-block) cockers, go with the sm-1 (also this will let you put on your own barrel, reg, asa and grips). if you like the full body look, then go with the s6, but be ready to pay a little more, unless you find a good deal used. the sm-1 will be lighter and will let you get in close to the back of the gun without getting hit in the mask with the cocking rod, which is a real bummer. hope this helps you out.

I know, especially when the NPPL kicked the bucket going bankrupt last year. Ive been playing with electrics for awhile but lately Ive got the good ol' SL-68 out, not the ll, the legit SL-68. Its nice if you can shoot about 40 balls per game while the other guy has $40 going torwards another case of paint, and he still gets out by the pump.
