Now that I watch this video well after the match, it is actually pretty interesting. I'll admit there were lengthy pauses for talk, but it had it's moments. There really is no cause for the negative comments; that is quite insensitive and rude.
ok so you're against two guys. you don't try to BJJ them, true. not knowing groundwork? what if one of them does? he can easily pin you while the other guy beats you up.
1v1 and not knowing groundfighting? you sure you want to run that risk? because if the fight gets to the ground, you WILL lose to someone as athletic as you, with 2 months experience.
if you don't at least learn moderate groundwork, enjoy losing.
@wooshoo first of all, learn to read. i didn't say groundfighting isn't good to learn. i said it's a bad idea with more then one opponent, look at it your wrestling on the ground, the other guy walks up and stomps your head into the ground or pounds on you. which is exactly what happens in this video. so don't initiate groundfighting and stay off the ground if at all possible. second BJJ isn't the only groundfighting art, we have it built into our system.
first off, your message infers that it's a bad idea, period. secondly, if you meant it's a bad idea to engage groundfighting, that's just, dumb. any person with half a mind can draw out that simple logic for themselves.
also, i was merely using bjj as an example. virtually every kung fu teacher out there "builds it into their system". is that why the striking is underwhelming? why the students know 8 kicks but not how to transfer hip power to make a half decent punch?
@wooshoo it's a light power sparring match. what are you talking about "the striking is underwhelming"?
it's high risk to groundfight with more than one opponent. so it is a bad idea period, like all things you cannot control all elements of a fight but if possible it should be avoided.
the lighter it is, the more the technique should be apparent. it is not. this is like really subpar kickboxing.
as for the groundfighting, yeah, i think we've established that it's a dumb idea against multiple people. the issue is in what you inferred in the comment. in your manner of saying it: learn to write.
@wooshoo do you really get on youtube to argue with people on how they phrased something?
in what way is " and perfect examples of why groundfighting is a bad idea if you have more then one opponent. " inferring anything other than it is a bad idea to groundfight when you have more then one opponent?
i see no videos on your profile showing that you can do better, if you can, i applaud you, if not. then shut the hell up and stop being pretentious. well either way shut up.
actually you started on the semantics with the "learn to read"
beyond that, i really fail to see how i, or anyone would have to post to show that i am better. most people who take kickboxing for a month or so would be better. mckarate schools pump out better. bad kung fu schools make me sad. even if i sucked really badly, it still doesn't remove the fact that you're bad. i'm not the one making vids explaining obvious concepts on youtube, with poor standup.
@dwolffphoto hahahahaha. i'm not hiding behind the internet. i'm not claiming to have any power. i'm saying, plain and simply, that you guys have sub-par kickboxing going on. if you were the best in your area, and assuming you're better than me, you're still at the same, bad level.
i don't have to know how to build a say... tv set to distinguish a good one from a bad one. you're probably still sore from losing to some ground fighters.
@wooshoo you experience tv to rate it. you have to train to know what training is like. you have to fight to know what makes good fighting and bad fighting.
@wooshoo we are not a bad school, we are not bad fighters. i have seen plenty of people from plenty of schools and in no way do they "pump out better"
Great stuff! Very funny to watch and entertaining. I gotta try this with my fellow students.

How dumb do you have to be to not understand?

that's a really stupid, one dimensional look.

again, the comment says a good example of why.

i, and the world acknowledge that engaging a groundfight vs more than one guy is a bad idea.
your vocabulary must be rather low, i forgive you.

Small words still get the point across ;)

"no vids so stfu" proves nothing, k?

@wooshoo i stated that this is a clear example of why, i was not preaching or explaining, it is an example, clearcut and simple.
in no way is me telling you to understand what you are accusing me of semantics, your blaming us for having a bad vocabulary?
if you can't do better then you can't complain. learn some respect and stop hiding behind the internet to feel like you have power.
