But being that we were in Sweden, hair and makeup artists and production trailers were in short supply.

It's interesting to read the comments surrounding the debate over which is the superior mock-war weapon. Seems like laser tagging focuses more on the tactical side of war games (not to undermine the physical demands of the game) , whereas paintball delivers that life-like rush that you get when real solid projectiles are being shot at you (not to completely ignore the presence of tactics in paintball either) , either way both are great if you appreciate them for what they offer.

@darraghc123 There were 5 teams with 6 players each that participated in the 2009 Sweden Armageddon, for a total of 30 partipants. It was a round-robin tournament, with every team competing against every other team on 6 different lasertag systems over 3 days. The Armageddon lasertag tournaments have been around for over 10 years, with annual tournaments held in the UK, Sweden, and the United States. I don't design the logos for Armageddon and i'm not a "satanist".

Seems like they need to upgrade to the new mods. They track your kill shots, accuracy, deaths and more not just your lives and ammo count. Plus the new mods have so many more guns and the gunshots are more realistic as well as the death sound.

@MrWilber33 Yes i love playing with the new SATR guns with the real-time scoring. We didn't have this luxury when we were playing in Sweden. I miss the simple easy-to-read LED display of the classic BFS guns though. Trying to read and decode the SATR stock ticker-tape LCD display during combat is often times challenging. It's very useful after the game though.

I'm actually a tournament paintball player, and I rarely even play woodsball, but I think this actually looks cool. I don't play paintball for realism, I play it as a sport, so I guess if I ever have any money lying around (Very rare) I'll have to give this a try.

Paintball equipment are toys compared with battlefieldsports equipment. Paintball has inferior performance in every measurable attribute. The range on some of these battlefieldsports guns exceeds 1,500' in direct sunlight. The latest guns offer radio based real-time hit confirmation and real-time score stats on your gun display. More importantly, with careful planning you can play battlefieldsports in many public parks. Paintball doesn't compare.

It's more exciting when you can make some real damage and to see your every shot, the paintballs leave marks everywhere. You can actually get injured by paintballs but in Battlefieldsports you can't. Paintball equipment are not considered as toys, just saying.

@Zharkan16 Agreed it is nice to leave marks. But when you can shoot someone at 1000', it completely changes the gameplay. Battlefieldsports equipment is more fun to play on. It allows teams to make more complex strategies, and can be played over huge distances.

I also love the fact that, with planning, you can play battlefieldsports in public parks. You can't legally play paintball in most parks. This event took place in a public park near Stockholm Sweden.

@boyziggy lasertag is for pussies. no contact, nothing to fear. in paintball you can supress or scare apponents into cover. the fear of a ball filled with paint traveling at 300 mph is much greater than a retarded non-existant streak that has no real contact with the world.

@mrFragaz and how far can you accurately shoot your 300mph paintball? Lasertag offers superior gameplay, period. Paintball is usually confined to small 1-2 acre junk yards. Outdoor lasertag is often played in 5-10 acre forests. Lasertag guns shoot much farther than paintball guns, which make for more elaborate and realistic strategies and gameplay. If you've never played professional outdoor lasertag, you shouldn't be commenting on it.

@boyziggy The locaton that u can play is grate i have to agree. but there is a reason that we train with paintball.(USMC). there is a different mood to the game. trust me there is a more real sense of warfare with the paintballs. not as in realism of the paintball equipment but of the impact and interference on the wether. yes the range is longer with your guns but it is too unreal. if u have ever shot a gun u would know.

@Hammerofwar1 I have shot guns before. I don't think either paintball or BFS lasertag guns give anywhere close to the realism of firing a real gun. I wish BFS would develop lasertag guns with solenoids that give you more of a sense of shooting when you fired. The BFS lasertag guns definitely look more realistic than most paintball guns i've played with. But i don't care for milsim realism. I see lasertag as an extreme sport, not a military exercise.

It's like comparing mini golf with real golf... 2 different games with their own advantages/disadvantages.
