Just a suggestion, when you are playing the fmaj7 chord, putting your thumb on the f note (D# in your case) makes it sound a million times better. I hope you know what I mean.

Yes, it makes the chord sound very powerful. I suggest the same thing for the final verse of My My Hey Hey. It gives the chord a great sound.
