hi, i live in england and i was wonbdering if i could use potassium permanganate instead of Potassium perchlorate and get the same effect? (its not easy for me to get Potassium perchlorate)

if that type of flash powder lights and your hand is near it you will get a very painful and ugly burn, never light it with a bic lighter or a match, two weeks ago i accidentally burned the entire back of my hand and some of my wrist with less than a gram that was spread out on a napkin.

its still ugly but its pretty much healed

so yeah be careful or it can happen to you

Just made my 1st 1g of fp, unconfined. pretty fast :D made a mini mushroom cloud n everything haharh! should hav mixed it abit longer but i was a bit too eager to test my visco and fp to wait 15mins haha thanks for the vid mate, 5/5

yeah man will do, i need to find my charger for my camera, or i supose i could just plug it into the mains usin an extension cord. i bet one of my kids has my charger in a chuf'n toy box or sumthin haha, like my phone. although it may be a while till i can test a polumna, cos the neigbers will most definatly call the police if i start blowing crater in my garden haha, plus i dunno what the laws are for this stuff, so i need to get out in the fields to play ;) hehe

Would i be able to gind my magnalium in a coffee grinder to make it into a finer mesh, iv only got 230mesh. or would is the only way be to use a ball mill?

nahh, u cant, but as long as its a powder, it will be fine, you cant really make it finer once its fineish =/

Damn, its just that i tried a little bit earlier, to see if the perchlorate i got was genuine, and it burned slow as foook (blindingly bright though, quite impressive :D) yeah, i maybe its cos i didnt use a scale or coffee grinder (still waiting for em)

nahh, its not really THATTT shock sensitive, try .2 grams with a hammer and see what happens :)

well i have got a vid of 5 grams of flash in a giant snow ball. like 4 foot tall and wide from all that snow we had not long ago it blew apart and it crumbled to the ground. but didnt send snow all over my garden it wasnt that impessive but ile upload it any way if you want to see it. i was gona do 20 but the next door nabes love to phone the police over nothing yeh its the only video ive got as ive only just got the camra. hessy11 is my cousins thing ive just hijacked it
