@schail Thank you, perhaps I was not clear in the video... I did not wear the twists out, I simply twisted the back to create the full afro by separating them.
I tried using a satin bonnet but it doesn't stay on her head all night. Then I tried to pull the twist into 2 pony tails & the put the wave cap with strings on it. Then in the mornings I moisturize her hair with shea moisture hair milk and lightly spray the she moisture mist on her hair. What am I doing wrong? When I first do the twist they're nice and shiny. Next day dull/dry look, edges/hairline frizzy. When I put the twist in I use the hair milk and castor oil (got that from someone on youtub
@mizzclr922 Is the bonnet secure? I know childrens heads are smaller than adults... I tie my hair down with a large satin scarf (like a durag) and I may place a bonnet on top of that to reduce the chances of the scarf sliding ouff during the night. My suggestion would be to incorporate oils. Everytime you lightly spritz or moisturize, apply some light oil such as jojoba.
I love the video!! Do u have a video on how to maintain 2 strand twist (not the flat twist). I do the 2 strand twist on my 6 yrs old but after a couple of days it looks like she's had them for weeks!! She has 4b hair. Please help. Luv ya and keep the videos coming!
@mizzclr922 I do have a video on that (video #5) however that was over a year ago, I don't use the same products anymore....How do you tie her hair down at night? Perhaps I could offer more advice if you could give me more insight of what your are struggling with exactly.
We have the same hair texture and I lament over my hair, until I watch your videos. You give me a better appreicate for my 4c-4f hair. The shrinkage and the tangles drive me nuts. Contiuned good luck with your hair journey.
There's nothing wrong with those flat twists. The intact twists looked really good but the end result after taking them aloose was even better. Love watching your vids!
Your hair came out cute! When you 1st turned around and showed those big ole chunky twists in the back I was like.... OH NO BOO, you are NOT fittna (yeah I said fittna) wear THOSE! I was sooo glad when you said you was gonna fluff it out. Those flat twists are still better than a bunch of ours on our BEST days soooo... hush!
here's a suggestion in case you do choose this style again. Instead of rubberbands, when your done flat-twisting braid a few stitches then twist again. when you undo the twists stop where you braided, your flat-twist will still be secure and it will blend better without you requiring a headband. BTW that design is cute and will be stolen lol.
...I feel u tho. All the madness or time it takes to get the final style and it doesn't come out how u imagined. Looks okay to u and Fab to others...and now after all that..ur feeling something different. Been there - which is y I don't do videos..yet. U can feel how u want about ur hair..turned out great.
OUU i LOVE IT! At first, I was like whats the point of putting in twists, if you're going to separate it as much but it turned out AMAZING! I'm gonna need you to sit down somewhere, talking bout "it doesn't look half bad" 0_o! its FABULOUS honey!
@ConnectedToMeNow I agree, watching the video, Im sitting there thinking, everyone must think I'm crazy or something, theres nothing wrong with those flat twists lol
Maybe u can do a tut on finger coil-outs. Saw one simplyounique did yesterday...gorgeous. And yes..maybe u and ya girl can cook something together in the kitchen. Chicken..lol that would be a good video. Peace
@msjelly360 Thanks for the awesome suggestion... the only thing is that My hair can't do finger coils... My hair isn't coily so it can't coil onto itself.... I tried it during the beginning of my hair journey but it just didn't work :-(
Love the hair! Looks so neat & sleek. I knew you'd wind up feeling it eventually, looks too good not to Lol! Thanks for all of your updates you are a joy to watch :)
Very Nice.. I'm jealous, I can't flat twist my hair like that lol.. Practice makes perfect, I guess.
