I honestly get 57 mpg and 564 miles on a full tank of gas which is 10 gallons and i pay 28 to 29 dollars to fill up. Price of gas is 3.40

You are a little late on the comments. this was the original demonstration of high speed stealth..check the date.

but yes, we now perform high speed stealth a better way..by causing the ICE engine to spin with software, this provides lubrication and leverages the power split device within the trans to move the car faster than 52.

There are a few problems with this.

First off, the electric motor was never intended to run that fast, that is around a 140% overspeed.

Second, it is clearly more than just a board change, there is another pack involved, understandable as the original pack would fail vary quickly.

But, the most important question is, why?

We now have a vehicle that can top out at 52 mph, absolute top end.

Very interesting, I wonder how this is possible without over spinning MG1, because at a speed of 52mph, MG2 should be at 3,088rpm but without the engine spinning to reduce the rpm of MG1, MG1 would be spinning at 8,027rpm. Correct?

How is this done?

@GarrettKeetley I get 55mpg on a ford focus 1600cc, it's faster than a prius, half the cost, less to insure,/run/service etc and has a higher resale value. It also does 72mpg at a steady 70mph on the motorway. Who wants a heavy automatic hybrid that is using 20+ year old technology. Even in the 80's a Daihatsu Charade would do 100mph and 100mpg, so toyota was left beind with the prius while every other manufacturer moved on producing more economical cars. Why buy a prius? No need to now!

@urbex2007 Just test drove 2010 prius, 2011 ford focus and accord. Focus is the cheapest. My dealer has 7k off from 18k msrp. 11k for a brand new focus. However prius is so much smoother, quieter, clean interior,etc. Toyota finally has a discount on prius and i can get a base prius for 20k. I understand why people buy a cheap focus. I can buy focus cash with no payment. I think you should test drive a 2010 prius before you hate it. Try power, eco and ev mode. Got a prius and a payment

@GarrettKeetley I agree with that. But not a 1997 Jetta TDI. Newer diesels are definitely a very good option, if you want more sportiness over fuel economy

And older diesels were extremely pollutive, and still are, up until recently. But other than that, your car is amazing...

No, the fuel in the line takes a while to become consumed, also the ICE will continue to attempt to start...wasting precious battery energy.

We offer the control boards for the an eventual phev conversion for 595.

you also get the high speed stealth conversion at the same time.

very nice. I would like convert my 2007 to a PHEV after warranty is up. I have the coastaltech ev mod, was easy to install..but you need to know when to use it, luckily I can drain the battery at night doing small quick stops, and on the way to work it's downhill, so I get regen on the way to work, and can cancel the motor out. IT works out well. Getting 64MPG avg.

yes, A standard prius will go 33 mph before the I.C.E .will start.

adding an EV or electric vehicle mode switch will keep the ICE off as long as 3 miles.
