  • aww i wanna play

  • if you lose your engine on the water will the hull float

  • Yes it will float very well - the Hov Pod hull is manufactured from HDPE which has very good buoyancy so superior to glass fibre - the Hov Pod can take 1027 Kgs, over one ton in weight before water ingresses into the hull.

  • Very nice but...

  • What material is the inflatable bag down with the hovercraft moves

  • We have rejected Hypalon and neoprene coated nylon in favour of polyurethane and nylon weave 375 gsm

  • How far off the ground can it go?

  • About 8 or 9 inches, 0.25 meter - air cushion suspension makes it nice and comfortable to ride - no friction or contact with the surface, so easy to spin, do 360s etc.

  • Me:Dear San...

    Santa:In your dreams

  • It was the best vehicle on Rock'n Roll Racing!

  • Good bye boat, car, ATV...

  • Dear Santa...

  • So how do you brake?

  • beast

  • I sniff pants..

  • So it literally hovers?

  • Yes it hovers. It's a hovercraft.

  • what kind of license do you need to drive one of these?

  • That would all depend on where you live

  • @hovpod in the us

  • Generally we find that leisure hovercraft do not require licensing, unless countries require boat licensing. Commercial hovercraft seating over 6 passengers usually require commercial licensing. As manufacturer, we cannot know every state, country requirement, every language, every local byelaw and regulation update, so it is recommended that customers check to see whether any license or regulations restrict use.

  • i would like to come work for you,my hover is nasty, you have nice looking hovers. i am top tech material

  • Thanks for your comment, not sure where you live, but we are in the UK

  • whats the highest speed?

  • Top Speed for the Hov Pod is up to 40 mph depending on conditions, engine, etc.

  • @byehiguy same as jumping except for a longer time and u can lie down

  • cool alda

  • Does that thing have wheels?

  • @TheSomethingIsh no it hovers for real. (I'm not kidding)

  • where can you buy one i live in Florida!!!

  • Please contact us via hovpod.com or email us via sales@hovpod.com for details.

  • water in the engine? problems with salt?

  • Salt water in engines of any type are not good, so we have designed an engine cover to exclude spray from the engine. We recommend cleaning the craft with fresh water - assuming you like your hovercraft and wish to maintain it's resale value, as with any type of boat, it pays to clean it after salt water use. We coat engines with water prood spray. generally we have no problem with salt water, we fit stainless steel parts

  • Gta San Andreas XD

  • Do i have to have a license to drive these? :) can i just buy one for fun?

  • Sorry but you never stated where you live - in some countries you might need a licence, in other countries, no licence is required. They are easy to use.

  • @hovpod i live in long island ny

  • I don't know whether licences are required there, best to check with local regulators

  • @hovpod is a good busines if u buy one, can rent it for alot of money. (sry for my english)

How much dose it cost ?

  • Rental hovercraft business can be very lucrative, plus you can sell hovercraft to your rental users. For prices contact us at sales@hovpod.com

  • @hovpod i dont have a busines, but i was curious how much does it cost

  • Please contact us via email sales@hovpod.com for pricing

  • wat is the top speed

  • Welcome to the future(intro). lol

  • greetings

what is the rubber bottom material how strong does it need to be how does it wear

    thankyou

  • The Hovercraft skirts comprise 65 different sections of polyurethane / nylon weave 375 gsm - impossible to tear by hand, even after it has been cut. Polyurethane is the same material used on shoe soles - it is tough.

  • hovercraft seems nice>,<

  • such vehicles were made for the army to move on water and land terain ...

  • how much are theyyy ?????

  • Contact us at hovpod dot com for pricing, too many options and engines and tax implications to detail here.

  • i drove a smaller version of those in san andreas

  • Dear Santa,

  • Alright, NOT meaning to pester you about this, but have you went into alternative fuels?

  • We supply bare hulls for customers to add engines with alternative fuels. I drive a car with an alternative fuel, so agree it is better for the environment. Hovercraft are more enviromentally kinder than boats, they have less drag, do not pump exhaust fumes into the sea, do not use sea water to cool engines, have no prop to damage sea life, can travel over eggs without breaking any.

  • i don't have an attitude but can't you just put a freaking fan on the back of a float boat with glue or something????? someone tell me why you cant?!?!?!?!

  • Basically because boats don't travel over land, mud, sand, grass, roads, ice, snow so well and glue isn't so strong.

  • How fast can one of these go?

  • Top speed is around 40 mph depending on conditions. As you are floating on air, they are quite fuel efficient.

  • @hovpod what powers these fans?

  • We offer the Hov Pod SPX TCC 65HP with Rotax 582 engine - this has an onwater payload capability of 275 Kgs or 606 pounds. We also offer the Hov Pod SPX TCC 120HP with Weber 4 stroke engine turbo powered. This has an on water payload capability of 325 Kgs or 718 pounds. The Turbo really kicks in at 6000 rpm to provide tremendous power in very shallow water.

  • They look like so much fun. I'd love to drive one. Now THAT's what should replace cars, if there was a way to make them more safer, reliable, and cheaper for the average person. Also, maybe find a way to invent some kind of brake system for them. Runs on air? and pretty much anywhere? GREAT!

  • They are fantastic fun and quite addictive. We pride ourselves on our safety record, and attention to safety detail. They are reliable and not so expensive - like having an all terrain vehicle that is all terrain, and snowmobile and jet Ski and boat rolled into one, so excellent value. They stop really easily. For more details on pricing, please email us at sales@hovpod.com

  • I don't understand why they call it HOVER-craft when it doesn't even hover. Do you even know what the word hover means?

Hovering (levitation), the process by which an object is suspended by a physical force against gravity, in a stable position WITHOUT SOLID PHYSICAL CONTACT ON ANY SURFACES.

This hovercraft is still touching the surface, its not really a hovercraft. Its an inflatable-craft.

  • Whatever........

  • @me2me23 Hover means to lift by contained air or redirected thrust. Since the skirt on this vehicle traps air, it is hover.....

  • @Xarcht Tires trap air, too. Oh my God. MY CAR IS A HOVERCRAFT TOO?!

  • How much?

  • For pricing we need to know where you are located, to calculate in local currency, estimate shipping costs and if any tax applies. There are three models and 19 options - so for detailed quote email us at sales@hovpod.com

  • so are thes classified as boats or planes

  • They are classified as hovercraft

  • I WANT TWO!!!!

  • For delivery times please contact sales@hovpod.com

  • For purchase details, please email sales@hovpod.com

  • i loved this hovercraft in gta san andreas.. good times ;-)

  • SAN ANDREAS!!!!

    KGGGDKP CHEAT!

    land and water vehicle

  • Of engine, that is.

  • It will not work with an electric motor or diesel engine, these engines are not suitable.

  • @hovpod can u imagine a real boat that can hover 3 feet from the ground than this one and think of of a flying boat anything can happen in the future

  • What does it run on?

  • It runs on air, but is powered by petrol, using either a 2 stroke or turbo charged 4 stroke engine. Hope this answers your question, but please visit the Hov Pod website for more info, thanks for your interest.

  • @hovpod Oh, sorry, asked too early, but... can it be powered by electricity? If so, do you have to get a special/rare kind?

  • @hovpod what makes the hovercraft turn when you turn the wheel and what is it connected too that does the turning?

  • When you turn the handlebars, this changes the rudders at the back to direct air left or right. 75% of air generated by the fans provides thrust, 25% lift. Hope this answers your question.

  • what is top speed for land and water?

  • @lambda360 Up to about 40 to 45 mph depending on conditions, engine.

  • @hovpod how much does it cost?

  • @RockhopperY Contact us for pricing via our website hovpod.com

  • looks like a swamp speeder

  • I want one

  • can you send the plans to me for this craft to my hotmail account i.dono@Hotmail.co.uk

  • @TheFishman97 Please email us at sales@hovpod.com for plans and further details

  • They should make one that is the size of a jet ski!

  • We do make one the size of a Jet Ski, plus you can use them at low tide, and they are more fun than Jet Skis. See hovpod.com

  • how much engios are on it i have one with only 1!

  • @hotwill100 We designed the Hov Pod to have 1 engine, to reduce weight and make it easier to drive, less noisy.

  • send me one as well

  • @loughreesub try walmart

  • @paulinotou We sell direct via hovpod.com

  • @loughreesub Hov Pods are available via hovpod.com

  • Did you do a demo day in enniskillen?

  • @dolanrally We have a lot of craft in Ireland, so probably but do not know for sure.

  • Do these things float without power, can you anchor and fish in the ocean and deep lakes with them?

  • Yes, the Hov Pod floats very well. Some hovercraft take on water through water ingression, but the Hov Pod can take over a ton in weight before water ingression. Some hovercraft with smaller engines under 50HP cannot get airborn once stopped, the Hov Pod can lift 275 Kgs or 325 Kgs from an on water start.

  • you should put a rocket on the end to turn it into a speedcraft,

  • i wonder what wuold happen if you jumpt off a cliff?

  • @julsmaster2000 would

  • @julsmaster2000 Thats a good question... hmmm.

  • Probably the same as if you jumped off a cliff

  • @julsmaster2000 You die a horrible, horrible death.

  • one word... EPIC!

  • I couldn't quite understand the video until I read the description

  • @Hutcarlingos LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!

  • yea my dad and i built one of these

  • I see practical uses on beaches for lifeguards. From the water to the clinic. So much space on board too for resuscitation purposes.

Cost might be a factor though.

  • Wait.. It can't fly?

  • Hovercraft do fly, who said they cannot fly? You need to evaluate what you mean by flying, that's all.

  • @hovpod It's not flying, because it does need a surface to ride on. Since that is not essential for an aeroplane or a helicopter, it can't be called flying. It's hovering.

  • @julianreischl whatever

  • Omg I love mine. 5 stars  chump change.

  • how much do one of these cost?!

  • Please contact us via hovpod website for pricing, not enough room here to cover all engines and options.

  • How many MPH can it go?

  • The Hov Pod SPX travels at up to 40 mph. It is a cruising hovercraft rather than a race hovercraft but far stronger than a race hovercraft. We also have a 120HP Turbo powered version if you want top performance

  • This is funny and awesome on the same time, now make some Hover tanks and send them to the moon and mars and start milky way wars!

  • I want one of these fucking awesome things!!!!!!!!!! I WANT ONE!!!

  • how many hp??

  • Hov Pods are available as 65HP 2-stroke or 120HP Turbo-powered 4 stroke.

  • how large of a wave can the hov pod take on?

  • Hov Pods are recommended for use in conditions of up to Force 4 although customers do go beyond this condition. The Hov Pod is made from HDPE so very strong and buoyant.

  • dam i love that! i want one of those! :D

  • if only i had money.

  • If the engine dies/runs out of gas, does it sink?

  • No, the Hov Pod is made from HDPE, a very buoyant material. We have tested the Hov Pod to take over one ton in weight, a small elephant before water ingresses into the hull. Some hovercraft have no buoyancy and sink, so a good question to ask.

  • of course not

  • it may not look like it, but it is hovering above the ground, it coulld even be an inch, but u can't really see it, i did one as a science fair experiment

  • The Hov Pod hovers at an average height of 8 inches off the surface. They are great fun to fly.

  • 8 inches? wow. mine only hovered one

  • um, that looks so freaking fun. I'd never be able to afford one :(

    The joys of money.

  • looks like the ones they used in james bond, die another day

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • I WANT ONE

  • @allieee6 lol i wonder how you got the highest rated comment

  • An Extremely Fun Product!

  • yes it is - it is far better to drive than simply to watch on video, you get a feeling of freedom as you fly across water, land, ice, sand, any flat surface. As you sort of levitate, you can do 180s, 360s, the ride is sensational!

  • I WANT ONE!!!!

  • Wow this looks like a blast ... how fast can they go? how much are they??

  • they con go 80 km/h and they cost €10.000 if you are lucky

  • mum! dad! can i get one!-.- u must be rich

  • i asked my dad and he said yes

  • One of the better British inventions of the last 50 years.. I wonder how they could possibly be economical, though? These little ones, maybe, but surely the large boat carrier ones must be pretty wasteful. Then again the same thing could be said of helicopters.

  • The Hov Pod uses around 12 to 15 litres per hour - rental operators use around 100 litres per eight hour day. Once hovercraft are airborne, there is little friction or drag associated. The Hod Pod only uses one engine to lift and provide thrust, whereas earlier hovercraft designs had separate lift and thrust engines which consumed more fuel, and required more maintenance.

  • I want to start a "learn how to pilot" a hovercraft rental business. I'd like to know how much people would pay? Does your company offer these kind of leases?

  • i wonder if they are gas or elecity powered

  • The run on gas, (petrol) either 2 stroke or 4 stroke engines.

  • wow cool

  • holy shit thats nuts

  • talk about riden in style...i want one too!!!

  • How much i want it ?

  • I MUST HAVE!!!

  • HOW MUCH?

    i want one

  • show.......off..... thats awesome

  • i love hovercrafts

  • How much does one of those MF's cost????

  • i hav one deyre ok

  • if i had one of those i would rule the world!!

  • i want one!

  • this video screams one thing and one thing only!!!... AWESOMNESS i want one lol :P

  • How much does it cost?

  • dam, now i want one!

  • One problem with the hovercraft is that they are goind to have a bad time with ragged areas.

  • The Hover height is about 8 inches off the surface. The Hov Pod skirts are very strong. The Hull is also very strong, with underside protection

  • lol wouldnt be hard to run from cops in a hovercraft just go in a lake, when they get out to you get on land again lol

  • I think the radio and helicopter would win in the end...it sure would be a fun chase though

  • I love hovercrafts!

  • Lol a get away car from police ^_^

  • this look like fun

  • looks funny.

  • i want one
