  • *I'm talking about vitamin supplements on my last post. lol. not vitamins as a whole. i realized that's what it sounded like i was saying after i reviewed my post. sorry!

  • omg. That is all I have to say. This was a wonderful experience. I initially decided to view this for research purposes due to an essay I am required to write for a nutrition class. I was rewarded, however, with an enlightening documentary that shines a lot of light on vitamins. As research goes on, it seems more and more discoveries are being made on the danger of massive doses of vitamins. I don't think they are all bad, but one should definitely be well advised before consuming them.

  • Amazing the Professor Andrew Renwick is a spokesperson for the International Sweeteners Association. So on one hand rubbishes naturally occurring Vitamins whilst promotes and stands up for unnaturally occurring chemical sweetners?????? And this is a neutral reporting

  • BBC PLEASE COME TO BRASIL. WE NEED YOU HERE

  • Such b.s just eat right, stay away from fast food and stay active you'll be fine. You don't need to throw your money on vits eat to be healtly. Popping pills can never supplement the real food that it triies to replace.

  • This documentary was highly misleading, it took 49 minutes to make 2 points. 1) vitamins are good for you and 2) vitamin A might cause osteoperosis. To be honest I don't trust the BBC, when reporting news they persistently mis-report statistical data (curve fitting) and sometimes even blatently lie, especially with news stories concerning political issues.

  • I take 5.000 milligrams of Vitamin C a day, and haven't had a cold in years, so believe it keeps me from getting it.

  • @SereneandPeaceful I never take vit C and eat very little fruit and vege and haven't been sick in years.

  • @TheFremenChick congratulations. some people are just born healthier than others... there are people who eat nothing but fatty food, smoke like a chimney, and they live to be over 90 years old. others eat well take vitamins do yoga all the time and die of awful and rare ovarian cancer. life was never about fairness... but for most of us, eating healthy and exercising do help us live healthier than we would otherwise.

  • @SereneandPeaceful good for you... i overdose on vit. C whenever i feel a bit under the weather, and i haven't had a full blown cold in years. :) a little scratchy throat, 5,000 milligrams of vit C every 4 hours for a few days and all the cold symptoms just go away....

  • Paid and sponsored by Orion! This documentary is full of disinformation. Of course the big medical giants dont want you to take vitamins. Then you wouldnt need them because you would be healthy. Come one people!

  • @giveawayyourmoney

You should really do some research before spouting something like that. You sound completely ridiculous. If you had done some research (or watched the film in its entirety), you would know that many medical professionals recommend certain vitamin supplements to people who have severe deficiencies of a particuar micronutrient. However, it is advisable that you seek a nutrition expert before you make the decision of taking supplements.

  • They didn't say anything about Vitamin D. Is that good or bad? I sometimes take Vitamin D pills

  • @RobDeManc You shouldn't need to take vitamin D if you get a bit of sun every day.

  • @TheRedWarden i've had a vitamin D problem because i lost about 7st in a year, vit D is stored in fat. I work outdoors so get plenty of sun, but yes a normal person should do just fine if you get in the sun.
